Spacious and tranquil guest suite in a quiet neighborhood with large trees. The unit is cozy with a gas fireplace, laundry and a fun yard with a hot tub and a chiminea for a chilly eve. Conveniently located a short 15 minute drive to everything Seattle has to offer, and also walking distance (via a trail) to a beach in Carkeek Park. The suite is walkable to a variety of businesses including a coffee shop, large grocery store, cannabis store, karaoke bar and several small restaurants and cafes. The space ** Our unit is great for long term stays! ** Come through the back yard and open your private entry via a key pad. The door opens into the laundry room (occasionally shared with hosts) then enter through another door into the hallway of your private unit. Bedroom: 1 Queen bed and walk-in closet Living room/Kitchenette: open concept with a couch, arm chair, a dining table with benches, and a kitchenette set up with a fridge and a variety of small appliances. Note: there is a cold and hot water dispenser in the room, however the sink for dishes is in the laundry area. There is also a gas fireplace that keeps the space warm and cozy and TV with a ROKU player which can be used for streaming with your account(s). Full bathroom: bath with an extra deep tub, shampoo/conditioner/body wash and separate towels for bath and hot tub Den: desk with chair and a large comfy couch (does not fold out) that a third person can sleep on. We can also provide an air mattress if preferred. In addition there are many books and games. Backyard: the backyard has a table and chairs, Adirondack chairs to enjoy the chiminea and the hot tub up a short ramp. The ramp is not suitable for folks with mobility issues or young children Super speedy fiber internet with wifi throughout, great for remote work. The basement stays very cool on a hot summer day, no AC needed. In the winter, the gas fireplace and optional space heaters keep you warm and cozy. NOTE: this is a guest suite and the owners live upstairs in a separate unit with a separate entrance. If you want a cozy, surprisingly spacious, quiet and private space in a local neighborhood to call home we are a good fit. However, if you’re looking for a space where you can invite guests over, or be rowdy this isn't the place for you. Guest access The guest suite is completely private. In addition, you will have private access to the entire backyard and the hot tub. The hosts live upstairs in a separate unit with a separate entrance. The upper deck adjacent to the upstairs unit may be occasionally used by the hosts. The laundry area in the suite entry may be occasionally used by the hosts. Other things to note -The kitchenette has a microwave, fridge, toaster oven, and coffee maker. There is no stovetop -The couch in the den does not fold out but it is big enough for a shorter person to sleep on -We do not have cable, but you can stream via a ROKU player with your account(s) -This is a basement unit with lower ceilings, if you are over 6 ft tall you will have watch your head! -The hosts live above the Guest Suite We are very excited to host you, please don't hesitate to reach out with questions or requests about date availability.
