Dreaming under the thatched roof | Relax and enjoy

Welcome to our beautiful thatched house! Stay in one of the most authentic houses in the region and escape from the city to enjoy nature and fresh air. Whether you want to relax, hike through the meadows or cycle along the Elbe, our house has it all for you. We are close to the beautiful old town of Lauenburg, which is perfect for a visit to take yourself back to an earlier time with historic half-timbered architecture. We look forward to your visit! The space We also live in the house, but we will always give you your privacy. You will have your own area that is fully furnished and has everything you need to have a good time, cook and sleep well. Guest access There are some parts of the house that you will not have access to because we live there ourselves. However, we will let you know which these are when you come. This does not limit the way you can experience our beautiful thatched house. Other things to note There are two sleeping options available. One is the alcove. This is equipped with a 120x210cm mattress and holds the ultimate cosiness. The sofa can also be converted into a comfortable 140x200cm bed. The available topper from Snooze Project makes it all the more cosy. Covered bed linen (1 pillow 80x80cm and duvet 135x200cm) is provided for each guest. The high-quality damask bed linen is white and is cleaned at the dry cleaners after each visit. The 43-inch TV gets all the usual German channels via IPTV and is also connected to a Roku box. Here you can log in your own streaming services, automatic logout for check-out is provided. A house like our thatched cottage comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. The traditional construction method with wood, clay, straw and thatch provides a very pleasant indoor climate and brings a lot of feel-good atmosphere. At the same time, there are also circumstances that are perhaps not so familiar in a new building: The wood is constantly working, especially with climatic changes, which means it makes noise. Even if the flat is cleaned from top to bottom before each arrival, the odd spider finds its way into the flat, that cannot be avoided. The wooden floor also creaks in a few places. As already mentioned, we live in the same house with our dog, but of course we are considerate of you. Nevertheless, if you are very afraid of dogs, please let us know before you arrive. The rooster of our flock of chickens in the garden crows earlier than you might like, especially in summer. We are sure you can have a great time with us, we just want to make sure you know where you are spending your trip.
