The Howdy House in Tech Terrace - 2 bed/1 bath

The Howdy House is a southwestern-chic home located in the desirable and historic neighborhood of Tech Terrace, just blocks from Texas Tech University and neighborhood coffee shop, brewery, pizza parlor, bakery and grocery store. This 2 bedroom/1 bathroom home offers everything you could want for your next trip to Lubbock! The space The Howdy House was built in the 1940s and is full of charm! Complete with original hardwood floors, squeaky floors and creaky doors are what make this home unique. Living area The living room features a fun mural wall which is the inspiration behind the name “The Howdy House.” This space has a large sofa and two accent chairs for guests. There is a 55” smart TV with access to multiple streaming services for guests to enjoy. We also have board games and cards for guest to play while staying at The Howdy House. Dining room This room features another colorful mural wall painted by a local West Texas artist, which is perfect for a photo opp. The dining table comfortably seats 4 people. Kitchen The kitchen is fully stocked with basic utensils as well as a pots & pans, baking sheets, a crockpot, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, and full-size fridge/freezer, oven, and microwave. We also provide coffee, creamer, sugar, cooking oil, salt, pepper, and other basic seasonings for guests convenience. Backyard/Patio The back patio is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail. Guests have full access to the entire backyard as well. The patio string lights are set on a timer to turn on at dusk every night. Bathroom The full bathroom features a tub/shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for guests. Bath towels are provided for guests as well as hand towels, wash cloths and makeup remover wipes. Bedroom 1 This southwestern-styled bedroom has a queen sized bed with a tempur-pedic mattress topper for added comfort. This room also has a small desk area for any work from home guests. Bedroom 2 This Lubbock-themed room is perfect for Texas Tech fans. This room has a queen sized bed with a tempur-pedicure mattress topper, 2 nightstands, a dresser and 32” smart TV with access to multiple steaming services. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home during their stay as well the backyard area. The shed in the backyard is off-limits to guests as it is used for storage. Other things to note We have a strict no-smoking policy. No parties allowed. No more than 4 guests (not including kids) allowed without permission. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. We are pet friendly but ask that you please cleanup after your pets and keep pets off the furniture. Excess hair on furniture and bedding could result in an additional cleaning fee.
