Tan Y Cestyll is a beautiful 5 bedroom cottage nestled between the Brecon Beacons & Cambrian Mountains. It’s situated at the base of Halfway Forest, ideal for heading straight out for mountain biking, hiking, or a stroll. The cottage has a beautiful stream running through the garden. A wooded area behind the cottage is great for exploring & den building. The long drive gives ample room for parking & a perfect space for children to cycle. The space The cottage can comfortably sleep 9 guests; there is also the option to add one more full sized pull out bed. We also have a travel cot. There is under floor heating throughout. The cottage consists of: Upstairs Two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (both king sized beds) One double bedroom A large twin bedroom (with longer length beds) One good size single with option of a single pullout bed Travel Cot Downstairs Living room with log burner, TV, DVD, two sofas and arm chairs. Kitchen/Diner with Induction hob, two ovens with inbuilt microwave, warming draw, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, kettle, table and 10 chairs, highchair, large corner sofa. Bi fold doors opening on to the patio. Utility Room - additional Fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Boot Room - Games cupboard. Some spare wellington boots. A great room to let dogs dry off in after a muddy walk. WC Outside - Table and chairs for 10 people and a BBQ. Also 2 reclining chairs/sun loungers. Hot and cold outside tap. National Botanical Garden of Wales, Llanarthne, Carmarthenshire. The garden offers a great day out for all the family. Children enjoy the Roots and Shrubs Adventure Zone, the land train and many other attractions and events. Llangorse Lake – This national lake is perfect for sailing. All sorts of crafts including rowing boats and sailing dinghies can be hired by the day here. Llangorse Multi-Activity Centre, Gilfach Farm, Llangorse, Brecon. Indoor activities cover climbing, caving, bouldering abseiling – outdoor – sky treat. Cantref Adventure Farm and Riding Centre, Cantref, Brecon. Carreg Cennew Castle, Nr Llandeilo. Spectacular setting in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Dinefwr & Dryslwyn Castle. Both castles are situated near Llandeilo. Brecon Cathedral and Heritage Centre, Priory Hill, Brecon. Cathedral is open during daylight hours. Heritage Centre, Tithe Barn Shop and Pilgrims Restaurant Bit Pit, Blaenafon. A unique underground tour of a real coal mine. Aberglasney Gardens, Llangathew, Carmarthenshire. One of the finest gardens in Wales. Dog Owners We allow two well behaved dogs at the cottage. Dogs are to be kept downstairs and aren’t allowed on the furniture. Please don’t leave dogs unsupervised within the property. Be aware that sheep are sometimes kept in the field opposite the cottage so dogs may be able to cross the stream, climb the bank and gain access through the farmers fence.
