Quaint Farmhouse in Bishop, GA

Beautifully decorated, quiet farm house located just 15 minutes away from restaurants, bars and shopping in Five Points, Downtown Athens, and UGA Campus and Sanford Stadium. Secluded and private, but less than 5 minutes from downtown Watkinsville and Wire Park. We are only 20 minutes from historic Madison and about 25 minutes from Monroe. Our home is an ideal space to get away that is also convenient for weddings, football games, or UGA campus visits. The space Our home is privately located on an acre of beautifully landscaped property. There is a tree swing in the pecan tree in our yard and a small play set in the back for small kids. The fire pit is a great place to hang out in the backyard on cool nights and we have a Weber charcoal grill that will be made available. One of the best features of the house is that we have a large front porch for enjoying your coffee in a rocking chair in the morning or relaxing on the porch swing in the evening. The house was built originally in 1900 and was recently completely renovated. Some of the features include shiplap walls and 10 ft ceilings throughout, original fireplaces (non-working), hardwood floors with carpet in the bedrooms, and modern farmhouse decor. Please note that because our home was built in 1900, the two bathrooms are not connected to the bedrooms (but they are very close). The master bathroom has a large tile shower and an extra makeup vanity. The master bathroom also incorporates a full washer and dryer for easy access. The second bathroom has a typical tub/shower combination. The master bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed, available dresser drawers, a hanging rack for your clothing, and a ceiling fan. The guest bedroom, which doubles as the TV room, houses a queen pullout bed with a very comfortable memory foam mattress. We have included photos of the TV/guest room in both modes (couch and bed) so you can see what that looks like and know what to expect. We can say that the pull out is MUCH more comfortable than any other pullout bed we have ever experienced (and guests agree). We have an extra memory foam topper that can be added if you wish, a full set of pillows, sheets and blankets, and we are happy to set it up as a bedroom ahead of time if that is more convenient for you. However, the couch itself is very easy to pull out into a bed and put back again if you prefer to operate it yourself. Just let us know! The guest room does have a normal door that closes and locks for privacy if you are using the room as a bedroom. The room includes a 55 inch smart TV that has access to Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube TV (which includes all live TV channels, sports, etc.) This room has great natural light and is wonderful as a sitting room as well, and it's equipped with two swivel chairs in addition to the comfortable couch. As this is our primary residence, the kitchen is fully stocked and available for your use (spices, pots/pans, plates, cups, etc.) We have a nice coffee maker, a gas stove, microwave, and everything else you would expect in a typical kitchen. There is a dining area right off the kitchen with space for 6 people to sit and eat with pretty views of the side and back yard. The Weber grill will be on the small back porch area and can be moved to the patio space at the foot of the steps, which provides easy access to the kitchen while grilling. We do not have any pets, so our home will be free of pet hair. We also ask that you do not bring pets during your stay. The space will be deep cleaned prior to your stay. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole home with the exception of one bedroom and two closets that will be locked for our personal items. There is a space in the master bedroom to hang clothes. The front door has a deadbolt keypad, and we will supply a code for you to use at check-in.
