The space "Like staying in a National Park" has often been remarked by guests - indeed it is - a getaway destination. This space is offered to allow the beautiful wild surroundings to feed & heal your soul. The house is a secluded strawbale & stucco construction with no traffic. big trees. views. no noise. The suite is a beautiful spacious private lock-off, with private entrance. The bedroom is light & airy with aspen ceilings & French doors, with a queen size bed with topper. The studio has an aspen cathedral ceiling, couch, chairs & a writing/laptop table. Wifi available. Meditators, writers (song & word), yogis & such will find the space perfect. Wood floors with with clean rugs.. so we have a strict NO SHOE (slippers provided) & NO PET policy. This is a NON SMOKER listing. The private bathroom is light & lovely with a roomy shower and is located just off the nicely equipped, cozy & colorful SHARED kitchen. We avoid the kitchen area when guests are present, prioritizing guest privacy. Summer nights are cool, in the 50s at this altitude - 8,300 ft - so there's no need for toxic air conditioning; fans are provided. This is a perfect space for one or two people- no loud gatherings here. Creativity can flourish here, where you can allow both the suite and the magnificence of wild places to fill & inspire you. The town of Crestone, replete with art galleries, grocery stores, shops & dining is about 1.5 miles away. Guest access The kitchen area is shared and guest privacy is prioritized. The kitchen is equipped with a toaster, coffee maker; olive oil & some condiments. A shelf in fridge & cabinet are provided for food storage. Because of bears we suggest little-to-no meat/fish cooking. The breathtakingly beautiful tranquil pine needle patio on the mountain side, (located outside the guest quarters windows), is for the guests' use and include seating, small table & a medicine wheel with a small ceremonial fire pit (usable only when fire danger is low - determined by the Crestone fire department). Listen to birdsong and breeze all day long. wifi available. Hike to the Jangchub Chorten Stupa of Enlightenment (on Camino Baca Grande) right from the house; we'll point you in the right direction. It's about 1.5 miles from town & less than a half mile to asphalt road - for cyclists & walkers. Since the house is bordering greenbelt, one can hike & explore right from the door. Please contact the hosts about all that Crestone offers or check online, which readily lists all the charms & activities in the area. During your stay There is only one guest space and therefore the only interaction will be with the owners, if & when they are present; (we avoid the kitchen/dining area if occupied, in respect for our guests, as much as possible). The owners will be in & out of the house, depending on work schedules and will maintain quiet respect. The office, which is off limits to guests, will be respectfully used by owners in complete quiet. Guests should feel free to ask about any personal concerns. Other things to note The Baca and the town of Crestone is a place where the animals (& insects) live .. so one must have clear awareness of keeping the house & grounds free of food (especially) and any strong smelling scents. All packaging can be recycled but must be cleaned before being put into recycle bin. The owners will remove garbage. There is a cleaning fee of $60, every 7 days (guests whose stay exceed one week to be aware of); bedclothes and towels will be replaced once a week.
