Studio in Walkable Foodie Heaven

We're on a quiet side street – right around the corner from a dynamic restaurant scene in Kerns, the 5th coolest neighborhood in the world. Stroll to parks, live music, vintage shops, and a vintage movie theater. Walk, Lyft/Uber, bicycle, or use Portland’s amazing public transportation everywhere. Tall windows overlook greenery and a cozy porch. Our family's 1900 house has been divided into separate apartments. Its like an artsy hotel room, but much more homey! The space Spend the night on the dreamy full bed with a choice of soft or firm pillows and quality cotton sheets always cleaned in scent-free detergent. Slip into scrumptious bathrobes and enjoy fluffy towels. Help yourself to coffee or tea in the morning and enjoy it on the front porch that sits a half story above the sidewalk below. Work or relax at the fold-down desk or at the table. If you feel like eating in, store your groceries or takeout in the small fridge and use the microwave, and/or air fryer/toaster. Guest access You will have your own key code to the smart lock at the front door. This lets you into the shared front hall. A similar smart lock lets you into your private unit. You have access to front and back yards and to the laundry area in the basement. Please note that if you are not comfortable with stairs this is not an ideal choice. There are two short flights of stairs from the sidewalk to the front door (see pictures). Other things to note BED Please don't miss that the bed is a full/double bed, not a queen. SOUND Although the sound proofing is quite good for a 1900 house, there will be low level noise transferring between floors. Most people are happy with it, but please do consider this if you are used to newer construction. We ask guests to respect quiet hours between 10 pm and 7 am. PARKING Parking is free on the street and is usually available on the same block or a block away. (Portland blocks are very short.) Sometimes, at dinner time on the weekend, one has to go a little further. That’s because there are sooooo many great restaurants nearby! We think it’s worth it. Sometimes, parking is very briefly scarce when the nearby arts magnet middle school is getting out and parents are coming by to pick up kids. SECURITY CAMERAS There are security cameras facing outside from the front door and from the outside door to the basement. KITCHENETTE Please see in the list of amenities and photograph of the kitchen area that, although there is a microwave, a small refrigerator, an air fryer/toaster oven, and some dishes, this is not a full kitchen.
