The Winter House - Historic Downtown Lancaster

Built in 1880 and central to the historic district, the 'Winter House' is named in honor of Lancaster’s own Band of Brother’s leader and hometown hero, Major Dick Winters. The Winter House is perfectly situated, just a few minutes walk to Lancaster’s city center, and is equipped with modern amenities which include a Smart TV, high speed internet, and central AC. Inside, you’ll find tasteful touches, quality linens and a comfortable bed to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The space The ‘Winter House’ was recently restored with tasteful touches throughout. The space hints to a past when things were simpler while highlighting the creature comforts one demands of today's modern spaces. Tasteful accent lighting, hardwood floors, and high quality linens ensure a good night's rest, while the smart tv and high speed internet provide travelers the peace of mind of staying connected. The studio is filled with morning light throughout and offers enough space for four guests to enjoy comfortably. You can rest assured knowing the space is professionally cleaned and cared for, and our team is readily available to ensure your experience in staying with us is the absolute very best. Guest access The studio entrance is easily accessed from N. Shippen St. (See check-in link). Enter through the dark wood front door. Once inside, the entry door to the studio is to the left . All areas of the home are secure and have outdoor security cameras. Other things to note *** THE BASICS *** a. FIRE EXTINGUISHER - located below the kitchenette sink b. EMERGENCIES - Dial 911, then contact Airbnb c. ELECTRONIC KEYED ENTRY - located on the side entry door (see Airbnb check-in link) d. INTERNET/WIFI - high-speed Xfinity internet- Access to Netflix, Amazon, Xfinity through smart TV apps e. CABLE - N/A - Wifi streaming only f. RECYCLING - Blue container located in the rear of the home which is accessed through the gated alleyway to the right of the front of the home. g. TRASH - Place any bagged trash to be thrown away in the receptacles next to the recycling bins. h. HEAT/AC - Heating and central air conditioning equipped which is centrally controlled. i. QUIET HOURS - Please be mindful of quiet hours between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM. j. ADDITIONAL GUESTS - The studio can accommodate up to four guests. For accurate pricing, ensure the number guests staying in the home are represented in your reservation. k. SHARED AREAS - Patio, parking and laundry areas may be shared with other guests l. PARKING - Visitor parking permits are available in front of the home on N. Shippen St. for $2 per day. Please register your vehicle online prior to your arrival via the Lancaster Parking Authority website. Once registered, you can park at any space along N Shippen St. for the days purchased. Permits are not required on Saturday, Sunday or holidays. *** OF COURTESY *** a. Please tidy up the studio so our next guests can enjoy the space b. Notify us of any needed repairs or damages at check-out c. Place dirty dishes in the sink area d. Place soiled laundry in the laundry basket e. Remove outdoor shoes in the home. f. Check-out time is at 10:00AM and housekeeping is scheduled at 10:15 AM Please notify us via text once you've exited the home. *** OF IMPORTANCE *** Any of the following violations are subject to the forfeiture of security deposit a. No smoking (or vaping) inside of home b. Up to two dogs are allowed for a fee of $75 per pet, per reservation. - Cats or other animals are not permitted. - Dogs should be kenneled within the home when left unattended. - Pet waste should be cleaned and disposed of immediately. - Any continuously barking dogs will be asked to be removed from premise. - Documented service animals are permitted. c. No events or parties without written permission.
