Other things to note As Canouan is a small island, there are no Rivers to provide a natural source of drinking water, so there are two things to be taken into consideration, whether staying at our apartments, or any other apartment in Canouan. 1: The water in the pipes are not suitable for consumption unless it is first boiled. For your convenience, we can supply drinking water at an additional cost to the nightly fee. 2: As there are neither rivers nor widespread desalination system on island, the water supply is also limited. Of course, you would be able to use water freely, however, we advise taking a few steps to promote water conservation. A: Turn taps off when brushing teeth or during showers, and when using the sink in the kitchen once it is possible. B: To reduce water loss in the case of a plumbing malfunction, please contact us as soon as possible.
