A finished basement with two bedrooms/office and a private bath is available in a low-key residential area. Located in Old Forge, our Main Street is full of amazing pizza places and Italian restaurants AKA "The Pizza Capital of the World". 15 minutes from Scranton "The Office", Montage Mountain Resort, The Pavillion at Montage, Steamtown National Historic Site, and the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Int'l Airport; 20 minutes to Dickson City shopping, Mohegan Sun Arena, Mohegan Sun Casino and Racetrack. The space This cozy, fully-furnished tranquil space was created in our rarely-used downstairs. It has a nice, private spacious living room area with a large screen TV that includes streaming YouTube TV with all popular live cable TV channels- as well as major networks, Netflix, Paramount+, HBO, Showtime, etc.; Wifi, a water feature that you can utilize, a gas fireplace, two bedrooms (one bedroom has a dedicated workspace with a halo light), and a spacious adjoining spa-like bathroom with a walk-in rain shower. There is a combined, full-service kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, stove with oven, (no dishwasher), microwave, toaster, Crockpot, stainless steel pots and pans, pizza pan, cookie sheet, dishes, stainless steel eating utensils, stainless steel knife set, cooking utensils, mixing bowls, chopsticks, ramen spoons, condiments, Keurig coffees, teas, sugar, Splenda, creamers, breakfast items, etc. ***We do not replenish these food items for long-term guests.*** The separate bedroom has a queen-size bed with drawers underneath and a closet. We have an attached lot that can accommodate a boat, quad trailer, etc., for an extra fee. We prefer that children who stay are age 12 and older. The backyard is shared with us for daily use during the summer months. Quiet, private events (showers, etc.), however, are permitted outdoors in the summer, scheduled in advance, for an extra fee. You are responsible for clean-up. PLEASE NOTE: The pool is for the use of registered guests only, and no children are to be left unattended at the pool. All guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance in the event an emergency arises. Note that there are security cameras outdoors for your/our safety that record 24/7. Although this is a very quiet neighborhood, we like the idea of them being a deterrent. These are located on both sides and the front and back of the house. There are NO security cameras anywhere inside of your personal space and these in no way invade your privacy. The cameras have been outside of our home historically and are rarely viewed~ PETS: ***We have two pets, a large Akita and a small Shiba Inu*** They do not have access to your space, but they do frequent our fenced-in backyard area at will. You may take your pets out for walks in the neighborhood. Please clean up- we have extra pet clean-up bags if you need them. PLEASE NOTE: ***Not an allergen-free environment. There are different types of products used regularly (cleaning/sanitizing products/light scents) that are not free of dyes, perfumes, etc., that will remain a constant in the environment with no exceptions. Guest access You will have private, full use of our downstairs- including a shared washer and dryer on the premises (in a separate area that we have access to, as well). Although not officially handicapped accessible due to the width of door frames, the space is a flat surface with no steps inside or outside. Other things to note Short-term guests have free off-street parking in the orange/terracotta stamped concrete driveway that leads to your entry door to the right of the home. It is a lit private guest entrance with a table and chairs outdoors for smoking. Cancellation policy~ Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
