Renovated Home With Chickens; Free Eggs + Kitty

I am renting a bedroom in my renovated house near downtown Durham/NCCU. The house is old but cozy, and I’ve added chickens to the yard as my pets of choice. I also have five lovely cats, including Barly, Ora, Rascal, and more. I’m always working to make the house more welcoming and comfortable for guests. The space The house is 2 stories 1947 cottage style and has a total of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and about 2000 sq. ft. I am renting 3 bedrooms in the house, one is reserved for me. Both bathrooms have been renovated so as a new kitchen. New large gas stove, double quartz sink, wood countertops, and a huge french door style fridge and the filtered water from the sink faucet. The only place that is not updated is the basement, but you only need it for laundry. You will be sharing the bathroom with another guest. I provide body wash, lotion, shampoo, and hair conditioners (usually I use brands from Whole Foods- fair trade, organic, etc.) so you don't have to buy it unless you prefer a specific brand you use. All bedrooms are freshly painted and 2 bedrooms have queens size beds/mattresses. There is also a deck at the back of the house. The place is located across from North Carolina Central University and can be ideal for someone visiting a student/professor etc. Also, a Duke student because It is within 5 minute drive to downtown Durham (where busy hip life happening) or to Duke University. On the same street, there is a bus that can take you there. Here are the expanded HOUSE RULES for LONG-TERM TENANTS that I usually have and prefer. If you are coming for a few nights or less than a week I will not ask you to do garbage turns, only maintain the kitchen clean after yourself. I require to keep the house very clean, no matter if I am present at the house or not. If you are planning to stay longer than a week you will have to take the trash out, recycle and make sure whatever boxes you receive from orders online will be folded and recycled too. Every Sunday trash bins have to be brought close to the street to pick up the next day. You must respect other guests and never live dirty dishes after yourself in the sink. A plate or 2 is OK but not more than that because there is a chance another guest will need to cook after you and he/she will need a clean space. KITCHEN, STOVE & POTS CLEAN STOVE RIGHT AFTER COOKING - means DO NOT LEAVE GREASE, oil on the handles, and whatever spills that happen from cooking must be CLEANED ONCE YOU ARE DONE WITH YOUR COOKING, not the next day. Also when baking or warming up anything in the oven use tray and metal foil so it doesn't drip on the bottom of it. I have had some guests that instead of cleaning like to argue back. If you think you are one of them I advise you not to book. I provide you with cookware, however, there are a few items I reserve for myself only; a blue casserole by Tramontina and All-Clad frying pans. I want to still ask you to use gently the cookware you will be using, do not scratch it or burn it, use a wood or silicone spatula. I also had some guests that only after 3 months I had to throw away the pan, I am trying to avoid this situation. You must cook during the regular hours, which means no midnight or after that cooking. Keep countertops dry around the sink, and please, don't leave sponges in the sink after cleaning. They start to soak in water smell and rot. No hot pots or anything hot on the countertops and do not ever try to use it as a cutting board. A similar requirement applies to a dining table. It is only for plates to eat or to study with your computer. No hot objects. You are also encouraged to sweep the floor. I have all the washing things under the kitchen sink and the sweeper is usually next to the door that leads to a deck. If anything just asks me and I help you to locate it. Make sure to take your food to the refrigerator when it starts to spoil. If you spill anything please wash it, do not wait until it dries or develops an odor. A fridge is divided into 4 parts, thus keeping your things to your side. BATHROOMS Keep it clean too. Wash a toil after use. Do not leave shaved hair in the sink, clean it of toothpaste spills. All the sponges are usually under the sink and again lots of products for cleaning are under the bathroom sink. Dry a floor with a mop after using it. Take the bathroom feet rag to dry outside once it gets wet. BEDROOM You are also required to keep your bedroom relatively clean. When I say this I mean no food leftovers for days, no beer cans, etc. When you leave you must empty your room of all of your belongings, take dirty bedsheets (not a blanket itself, but a duvet cover) to the laundry bin, and sweep/vacuum the room, corners, and under the bed. You must also empty all shelves in the refrigerator and cupboards from your food supply. Not following will result in an additional $25 charge for cleaning. My cleaning standards perhaps overwhelming to someone, thus I really want you to read them before booking and make sure this can be the right place for you. I would not want anyone to be pressured beyond their limits. Please, note since the place is still an old refurbished house, there may be a chance I missed something that can be irritable to you. I recently added Alexa to my collection of techy things so you can talk to her anytime. Also gas stove, french door fridge, microwave, laundry, and a deck. Other things to note I have a rooster on the property that may be the potential to noise. If you are not an early riser or deep sleeper I would ask you to reconsider. Also, my cat Barley is an in & out cat, however, I ask everyone to make sure she sleeps inside in case I have not come to the house to check on her.
