One night here is simply not enough. The space Mount Kilimanjaro 360 View Cottages is located on its own private reserve, just 6 km from Moshi downtown. The property began as Maisha Khalisi Restaurant, a unique destination celebrated for its breathtaking views of Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, visible from the terraces. The restaurant opened in 2020, and three years later, the owners added eight elegant eco-friendly cottages, creating a complete, immersive experience for guests. Garden & Atmosphere Both the restaurant and cottages stand gracefully among banana trees, coffee plantations, and lush greenery. The garden, featuring a campfire site and views of Kilimanjaro, invites guests to relax and linger. The fresh breeze, romantic ambiance, and surrounding flora create a special atmosphere, while the cottages are designed to allow plenty of natural light and good air circulation. Accommodation Our cottages provide more than just accommodation—they offer a truly unique Mount Kilimanjaro experience. Each cottage overlooks coffee plantations and seasonal local farms, offering uninterrupted views of the famous mountain. The rooms are stylish and intimate, blending authentic African touches with contemporary design. Each space has been carefully curated by the owners, featuring exquisite finishing details, artisanal crafts, natural materials, and rich textures, creating a calm and relaxing environment where guests can unwind and engage all their senses. All cottages have private decks, en-suite bathrooms, and are designed for single, twin, or double occupancy. The décor incorporates local fabrics, recycled glass, and other handcrafted elements, giving the cottages a distinctive, rugged charm. Built as eco-friendly as possible, the cottages use local techniques and materials, creatively incorporating reused items such as bike parts and baskets. Solar energy powers the cottages, and free WiFi is available. Dining Experience At Maisha Khalisi Restaurant, enjoy a dining experience, savoring coffee, cocktails, or meals while taking in 360° views of Mount Kilimanjaro, sunrises, sunsets, full moons, and even Mount Meru in perfect weather. Guest access All area except kitchen Other things to note For an additional cost, we can arrange airport transfers and are specialists in organizing mountain biking day trips, safaris, and other local activities. One of our owners, Mr. Muksin Mustapha Mushi, famously summited Mount Kilimanjaro in 43 hours by mountain bike—why not try it yourself? The property is also home to two guard dogs, a friendly puppy, and several cats, adding a warm and welcoming touch to your stay. Our upper-floor rooms feature stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the garden directly from your bed, along with a bathtub. For a more relaxing experience, we are happy to prepare a bubble bath for you—please let us know one hour in advance so we can have it ready. Bathtub is usable at least once per stay to save water.
