Nestled in tranquil Big Bass Lake, Dear Bear Lodge is a 3-minute walk to the outdoor pool, tennis & basketball courts, and playground. We are a 5-min drive to the lake & beach, and an 8-min drive to the Rec Center (indoor pool & snow tubing--Fall/Winter only). *Passes required for amenities. Whether you're unwinding on the deck, snow tubing at the Rec Center, competing at ping pong, or sharing stories around the fireplace, Dear Bear Lodge has everything you need for a wonderful family getaway! The space Dear Bear Lodge is over 2,100 square feet. WiFi/high-speed internet is provided throughout the house. Sleeping Areas - The 3 bedrooms and den on the 2nd floor offer the following:   -1 queen bed -2 twin beds -1 set of bunk beds ​ -1 full-size sofa bed ​​ 2nd Floor Living Area:   -1 full bathroom -Family room with new Napoleon gas fireplace (available September through May) and 50" Smart TV -Rustic, hand-crafted dining room table that seats 8 and kitchen peninsula with 3 stools -Fully stocked kitchen  -Cellular shades on all windows (blackout shades in bedrooms) -Bedroom closets and 2 hall closets for storage   -Air conditioning units in the family room & main bedroom during summer months along with fans in all bedrooms Downstairs Area:  -Seating area with sofa, loveseat, and Smart TV -Full-size ping pong table, full-size foosball table, air hockey table, magnetic darts -Full-size washer and dryer (detergent provided - All Free & Clear) -1 full bathroom Outside:  -Large deck with table, chairs, and Weber Spirit grill (propane is provided)  -Circular driveway for 3 - 4 cars -Large side yard with fire pit and Adirondack chairs (you must provide wood; feel free to use any left by previous renters) -Trail through the woods to the Clubhouse complex--a 2 or 3-minute walk!  -Starting August 16, 2023, we will have a front door/driveway security camera that will be active during your stay. Guest access You may not access the owner's closet in the bunk bed room. You are not permitted to use the wood burning stove in the basement. Other things to note -The kitchen, main living room, and all bedrooms are on the second floor can only be accessed via a staircase. -We have a 50-gallon hot water heater, so please be mindful of hot water usage. -Like most houses in the Poconos, we have an onsite septic system. It is important that ONLY TOILET PAPER is flushed in the toilet. Please put all feminine products, diapers, wipes and anything else in the trash can. -We provide propane for the gas grill.
