Description

Introducing our brand new shepherd's hut handmade by dinglehuts right here in Annascaul. Danú Shepherd's Hut is located in a wild garden alongside our other glamping units and within walking distance of the village. Our hut is fully insulated and has an ensuite and a kitchenette. This is glamping! The space Danú (a ancient goddess associated with nature and fertility) is a cosy and well insulated hut located in a wild garden. It has a double bed and a sofa bed suitable for a child. There is a full ensuite and a kitchenette. The property also has a covered communal BBQ area and on site parking. You will fall asleep to the sound of the river and be woken in the morning to the singing of birds. Guest access Danú Shepherd's Hut is located a short stroll to the village, where you will find the famous South Pole Inn for pub food takeaway pizza and 2 cafés. There are also pubs in the village. There is plenty of on site parking near your hut. Other things to note We have cats and chickens who run in the garden so fresh eggs are sometimes on offer. We have a medium sized dog called Timmy who is very lively and keeps us busy. We have an electric fence to keep him from licking our guests! We can also offer the option of storing large items such as canoes or bikes in a container on site. Danú is named after the ancient mother goddess of the Tuatha dé Danann who was associated with nature and fertility so is aptly located in a wild garden also known as an ARK, alongside our other glamping units . We use no chemicals on the land and have mostly native plants. We have an increasingly biodiverse variety of plants, birds, bees, bats and butterflies of which we are in awe and always learning.
