The Wilderness Lodge with Garden Sauna Near Bude

Relax within nature at the Wilderness Lodge with garden sauna! Set in idyllic Cornish countryside just 6 miles from Bude's stunning surf beaches and South West coast path. This very private, self-catering, cosy cabin is well equipped with cooking facilities and a wood burner. French doors open onto a sunny decking area looking out over your own nature pond. Experience an exhilarating outdoor heated shower after a well-earned relax in the sauna, and enjoy the fire pit whilst watching the stars. The space We are loving having guests back after a year break. We hope you enjoy a stay at the Wilderness Lodge and love the peaceful surroundings as much as we do! Towels, bedding, organic toiletries and some basic kitchen staples, such as tea, coffee, salt, pepper, sugar and oil are provided. The kitchenette offers a double induction hob, toaster, kettle, fridge with small freezer, a cafetiere (if you would like to bring your favourite ground coffee), pans, cooking utensils, cutlery, wine glasses and flutes. ** The cabin does not have an oven or microwave. The shower is an enclosed, outside shower with gas heated hot water, just next to the cabin. Such a lovely experience! The toilet room is attached, but accessed externally and is only a couple of steps away from the dining area double doors. There is a garden with fire pit and decking by a pond bursting with nature! **As of May 2025, the pond is a lot lower than usual as we have had little rain, so we are letting the reeds and pond plants spread for the wildlife... the ducks are still making an appearance though :) Wood will be provided for your first day, but please bring/buy additional wood depending on your intended usage. Wood bags can be purchased locally. 2 adults maximum. Unfortunately the cabin is not suitable for children due to its proximity to the pond. Sorry to say we cannot allow pets. ** PLEASE NOTE: A true escape... >> There is no Wifi provided and there is intermittent phone signal and 4G in and around the cabin. I am with EE and can access some data from inside and can make calls from some areas. It seems to be improving. > The TV is for playing DVDs only as there is currently no TV signal at the cabin. There is a selection of movies in the cabin, but please feel free to bring your own. Off-road parking for 2 cars. If you are planning to stay in the cooler months, the only heating source is the log burner in the cabin. The toilet room and shower area do not have heaters. Guest access Drive through your private gated entrance, park in front of the pond, then cross the bridge over the moat from your parking place. Once you walk through the gate by the sauna , the cabin, garden and decking is private and yours for your whole stay. Other things to note *** The cooker top is induction, which may affect those with a pacemaker. The British Heart Foundation recommend keeping a distance of at least 60cm (2ft) between the stovetop and your pacemaker, but if unsure please check with your doctor.
