Historic Home in Burlington's Hill Section
Description
Your cozy home away from home awaits! We look forward to hosting you in our Victorian home in Burlington's most historic neighborhood. Just a stone's throw from the famous Willard St. Inn and a 12-15 minute walk from downtown, plus within striking distance of ski resorts in winter and swimming holes in summer. Three floors including a master suite, living room, family room, dining room, remodeled kitchen, and both a front and back porch for those long summer evenings. Terrific for families! The space We're a young family (our daughters Mia and Emme are 6 and 3) and we were so charmed by this house and neighborhood that we moved all the way from California. It has touches you don't see much any more - like stained glass windows and decorative woodwork - and the big front porch makes it so easy to build community with neighbors. It's a spacious home with many nooks and crannies to relax in. The bedrooms are on the second and third floors: our master suite with its own bath on floor #3, our main guest room with the queen bed on the second floor. The second floor also has an office and two kids' rooms with a twin and a twin bunk. Great for families with loads of kids toys, games, stuffies and more :) The neighborhood is wonderful: lake views, big trees, many old charming homes. Downtown is walkable, as well as several small parks and playgrounds nearby. Free parking and A/C are nice perks too. We have a guestbook with lots of great info about Burlington and the surrounding area to help you plan meals and activities. [We don't list the house often as this is our primary home.] Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home and will receive a key to the front and back doors and/or a lock box code in the event of a late arrival. Other things to note This is a no smoking home (both inside and out) and unfortunately we have a strict no pet policy due to allergies. Thanks!
