OV Beach Cottage

Have you ever wanted to stay in a true Beach Bungalow? This is your chance with our private 2-bedroom, 1- full bathroom historic Ocean View cottage. Located 1.5 miles from Bethany Beach which allows you to walk or bike to restaurants, parks, and stores. This house has all the charm of an original beach cottage with inviting furnishings and a private outdoor space with an outdoor shower. Enjoy making memories relaxing on the screened porch or gather the family around the firepit for smores! The space Mostly original beach bungalow character with some modern updates. 2 bedrooms, each with a Queen bed - sheets, blankets and pillows provided but you are welcome to bring your own, if you feel necessary. Full sized Sleeper sofa. Full bathroom with tub/shower, sink and toilet - 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels and wash cloths provided. A few rolls of toilet paper provided. Full kitchen with cabinets, pantry, sink, refrigerator and range (no dishwasher), dish towels, dish soap, oven mitts - some paper towels provided. Window air-conditioning units throughout (that work extremely well). Ceiling fan in each room. Front screened in porch with furniture. Rear fenced yard with fire pit and adirondack chairs - we do suggest bringing some bug spray as spending summers at the beach can equal some pesky bug bites. Fly swatter is provided. Gas-fired grill in rear yard (propane provided). Outdoor shower for easy sand rinse off or to enjoy a relaxing shower under the stars! **We encourage you to bring anything that you feel will make your stay more enjoyable. Bring bug spray! We do not provide beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrellas nor bikes. You are welcome to safely store your personal items in the laundry room or on the screened porch.** Guest access Access to entire first floor and outdoor areas. Fenced in rear yard for your dogs or children to safely play in. Let us know if you would like to bring your boat (on a trailer) as we have plenty of space to park a boat. Other things to note This adorable beach cottage was built in 1947 and thankfully still has its original character in tact. While this cottage has been renovated and has all the conveniences needed in life today, it is not a modern home. It sits along a street with other beautiful homes that share the same historic characteristics. This vintage town will provide a brief snapshot of what beach life once was up and down the Delmarva Peninsula. Visit the Ocean View Historical Complex in the John West Park to tour historic buildings and view collections of local historical artifacts. This is a kid-friendly experience.
