Deve Evi is a charming, characterful cottage, perfect for a couple looking for peace and tranquility in a rural setting. We have lovingly restored Deve Evi, originally a camel stable, into a artisan, stone and wood cottage, with private outside areas. The pool is open from June to October. It is 8 x 3.5m with a shallow extension for relaxing. The pool is shared with just me and my husband but please message us your dates to check as we're often away. The space Deve Evi is a 45m2 cottage. All open plan with a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, wardrobe and clothes storage spaces. Please note that our place is not suitable for infants or children as the garden is very large with many steps and steep areas. Also the pool is not fenced so potentially a hazard for children. Guest access Deve Evi has it's own, private balcony and private terrace and garden for sunbathing or snoozing. There's easy access to the swimming pool. The pool is shared with just me and my husband. We do not rent our house, so it would only be us you'd share with. Guests are very welcome to enjoy the patio by the pool and other areas of our quite large garden. Different places to take a book or just gaze at the views and listen to the birds. Swallows swoop over the pool and we've seen kites, eagles and storks from our place. In the evening you can hear cicadas, owls tooting and even, occasionally, a couple of wild boars in the forest. We spray the whole property regularly for unwelcome wildlife! Other things to note Portakallik shop is a 10 minute walk away. Akin, the shop owner, sells a basic selection of groceries, ice cream and alcoholic drinks. But no fresh vegetables or fruit. Opposite the shop is a small cafe, serving drinks and amazingly good Turkish food. They will deliver too. Cafe Luna and Koy Sofrası are 20 minutes walk away, serving delicious cakes and Turkish food including tandır. Deve Evi is 45 minutes from Dalaman Airport. Bodrum Airport is 90 minutes, and Izmir Airport is a bit further, 130 minutes. We are 20 minutes by car to the lovely seaside town of Akyaka, 40 minutes to Marmaris, and 40 minutes to Dalyan. So while we are in a rural setting we are close to lots of places for you to explore and enjoy. While we recommend guests hire a car, which we can arrange for you, some people prefer not to drive in which case we can organise transfers and local taxis.
