🌿 The Nature Room, with an area of 16 m², was designed as a cozy and relaxing little haven with a warm and soothing atmosphere. The bedroom has its own private bathroom, extending the room's soft and natural atmosphere. The space A peaceful getaway between the countryside, the estuary and the ocean Our guesthouse is located in Corme-Écluse, in the heart of the Charente-Maritime. Here, you can enjoy the calm of the countryside while being ideally located to discover the treasures of our region. Corme-Écluse, ideally located between the small villages of Talmont-sur-Gironde and Mornac-sur-Seudre, two characterful villages classified among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France". You can also visit the beaches of the Côte de Beauté, Royan, the Gironde Estuary or the Côte Sauvage. Very different landscapes await you: sandy beaches, small coves, cliffs, pine forests, oyster ports, marshes and small Charente villages. The coastline of Royan Atlantique offers a wide variety of beaches, from Meschers-sur-Gironde to the Côte Sauvage. 🌊 A region to be discovered The Cormillonne Getaway is a nice place to start exploring the different facets of our region. Nearby, you can discover, among other things: Talmont-sur-Gironde, a small village perched above the Gironde estuary, with its streets lined with hollyhocks and its incomparable charm. At the edge of the cliff, the Church of Saint-Radegonde, built in the 12th century, overlooks the waves with its distinctive silhouette. Talmont is one of the stages of a marked long-distance hiking trail, the GR 360. Mornac-sur-Seudre, in the heart of the landscapes of the Seudre estuary and its oyster marshes. Meschers-sur-Gironde, its beaches, its cliffs and its famous cave dwellings. The municipality has five beaches, including the beaches of Les Nonnes and Suzac. Royan and the Côte de Beauté, with its beaches, villas and iconic architecture. And for lovers of nature and wide-open spaces, the Côte Sauvage, with its long sandy beaches, dunes and pine forest, offers a completely different atmosphere. We will also be happy to recommend our favorite places, our favorite beaches and the little spots that we particularly like. 🌳 And at La Parenthèse... During your stay The guest rooms are inside my primary residence, so I'm there all the time. Other things to note ☕ Breakfast 🥐 Your stay includes breakfast, served in our dining area. We like to start the day simply, with a delicious and convivial breakfast before setting off to discover the region. A continental breakfast is served every morning: baguette, pastries, dairy products, fresh fruit, orange juice and a hot drink of your choice (coffee, tea or hot chocolate). And for those who prefer to start the day with something savory, a savory breakfast can be provided upon request, provided you notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
