This secure studio was recently renovated yet sits within a historic house that reflects Flores’ charm. Its original wooden ceiling may release small fibers, a natural detail, not dirt. Outside, admire the traditional multi-colored doors and windows, a true gem in the heart of Flores. The space The air-conditioned apartment sleeps 2 people comfortably in a queen-size bed. And if you do need an extra sleeping space you will find an inflatable bed available for your use. The space is part of a traditional old house on the island, with its original wooden ceiling preserved. As part of its historic charm, small natural wood fibers may occasionally fall. This does not mean the room is dirty or has not been cleaned, it’s simply a characteristic of the house’s age. Our team follows a careful cleaning schedule before every guest’s arrival to ensure the space is always ready for you. Thanks to the digital lock we can offer contactless self-check-in for ultimate flexibility and safety. Plus, you won't need to worry about carrying keys when you leave the apartment. What makes this apartment extra special is the original antique floors and classic wooden ceilings. We take your comfort seriously and we even made sure the apartment has beach towels that you can take with you down to the lake for some chill time. Our apartment has a perfectly equipped kitchen where you will find everything you need to cook and clean up after yourself. The living area is comfortable and multifunctional. It makes the perfect place to work, eat, watch the 32” TV, and rest. There are plenty of power sockets so you can plug in your laptop and charge up all your gear at the same time. And of course, WIFI is included. All our furniture is made from upcycled wooden furniture people in the area had thrown into the trash. We took it and worked some magic to turn it into stylish new furniture you can use. The room has a place to hang your clothes with 5 hangers, and a ladder to hang your wet towels to dry. We know the most important thing when looking for somewhere to sleep is to sleep. So we didn’t scrimp on anything. Queen-size orthopedic mattresses - Check. 100% cotton quality sheets that feel silking on your skin - Check. Air Conditioning to keep you comfortable in the heat - Check. And we carefully positioned the 32” TV so you can Netflix and chill from the bed or the living area. This room does have a window that faces out to the street. However, we do recommend that you keep this closed for your comfort and security. In the huge private bathroom, you will find everything you need including facial, hand, bath, and beach towels and a cleaning kit for your convenience. And for your peace of mind, we also offer 24/7 communication and support. We know things can come up when traveling at any time of the day so we want you to know you can call or send us a message anytime. Additionally, there is an exterior camera overlooking the main entrance from the street. These cameras are installed solely for security purposes, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all our guests. Guest access You will have private access to the entire apartment which includes a kitchenette and bathroom. The apartment is locked with a keypad and only you will have access to this during your stay with us. The entrance from the street is shared with 2 other apartments in the building. Other things to note We love to receive happy guests and we believe that our space is ideal for any tourist activity, we are located on the main street of Flores Island, so many restaurants, bars and nightclubs are just a few meters away, but keep in mind that it is kept in a super cheerful and fun atmosphere, so noise and music can be a problem. Also because it is located in a wet place and very close to the lake, you may encounter certain insects such as spiders, flies, butterflies, etc.. They are not dangerous but this is their habitat so you will surely see some. Also, please note that power fluctuations are common on Flores Island (and throughout Petén), which can occasionally affect electricity and internet service. To protect our appliances, including the AC and TV, we use voltage regulators. If the voltage drops, some devices may turn off automatically but will restart on their own once things stabilize, so there's no need to adjust the controls. We kindly ask guests not to turn off the AC manually, as it won’t come back on automatically afterward. Ceiling fans are available and can be controlled from the wall. While we provide the best internet available on the island, with each apartment having its own router connected directly to the main server, speeds may still vary at times due to local power conditions. We also want to be transparent and let you know that occasional issues with the water service may arise on the island, such as temporary outages or low water pressure. These situations are due to local supply conditions and are unfortunately beyond our control. When this happens, we do everything we can to resolve the issue promptly or provide alternative solutions to ensure your stay remains comfortable. We understand how essential this service is and truly appreciate your patience and understanding if any inconvenience occurs during your visit. Parking spot? The property does not offer private parking. However, street parking is the available option. It’s public, safe, and there’s usually space nearby. Many of our guests have used it without any issues. neighborhood description We are located on the main street of Flores, so you are just a few steps from the best restaurants, bars and cafes. It can get quite hot in Flores, so it's good to know that if you want to cool down, there is a pool bar/restaurant right next door that customers can use just to buy a drink or food. Move Thanks to the excellent location of Hostted Apartments, getting around will not be a problem. The red TucTucs can be flagged right outside on the street and will take you anywhere you need to go locally. If you need to go a little further, a few meters away you will find the bus stop with buses that travel to Tikal, Yaxhá, Lanquín, Belize and other destinations.
