Peaceful cabin by the water

The cabin is simple, but well maintained and is located peacefully near the water. Take a morning bath, pick mushrooms and blueberries or just read a book and relax. If you want more than peace, tranquility and birdsong, you can visit Sweden, Kongsvinger swimming pool, Fortress, Finnskogen, the golf course and the ski resort at Liermoen or take a walk after mushrooms and berries in the nearby area. If you want to fish, talk to your host about tips. The hiking opportunities are many. Electricity is installed but no running water. Water in water jugs and outhouse. Traditional style. The space The cabin is sheltered, but it is open and sunny. The summer months are green and lush and the pond is quickly heated to a nice bath temperature. Large deck next to a stone-built fire pit/grill, invites for great meals outside if the weather keeps. We also have a small wooden hut on the plot. Use of this is at your own risk. If it is cloudy, then a trip to Kongsvinger with a fortress, swimming pool and promenade along Glomma can be worth an excursion. Proximity to the city also makes it possible to shop as long as you do not take the trip across the border to Sweden for shopping. The neighboring country and Charlottenberg are 30 km away. Other things to note The outhouse was upgraded in 2024 and is now a Biolan compost toilet. The kitchen works fine and was renovated in 2024. You have access to water from water jugs that are full upon arrival. This is clean drinking water and more can be picked up at Kongsvinger if needed. If you want to use the manual pump shower, you can either use clean drinking water or fetch water from the lake right next to it.
