This is home is as close as it gets to the water without getting wet. You will wake to beautiful sunrises over the iconic Rangitoto Island, and go to sleep to the sound of waves on the rocks nearby. The front of the house is bordered by rocks and then sea, with beautiful sandy Thorne Bay, known as one of Auckland loveliest beaches, just 7 houses away by waterfront path. Kayaks, paddleboards and snorkelling gear is available for your use. Enjoy espresso coffee from our Breville Oracle coffee machine in the sun on the deck, and evenings around the fire-pit listening to the waves or the top quality Sonos stereo system. A charcoal-fired Kamado Joe is available for experienced outdoor chefs. Indoors is a very well-equipped entertainers kitchen, with Le Creuset cookware and induction cooking, with a large stone-topped island. Access to the house is via stairs or gondola, taking you from street level down to this paradise by the sea. Auckland CBD is just 15mins away by car, easy bus access is also available. Takapuna or Milford villages, which host great restaurants, bars, cafes, shopping and grocery stores are both an easy 1km walk away. 'Blackrock' is a very special place, and our home is only open to professional couples, who will treat it and our neighbours with the utmost respect. There is a childrens' bunkroom available for up to two kids by negotiation. Search 'I love Takapuna' to see a great guide about Takapuna Guest access 2 of the 3 bedrooms will be available for access. Both the guest and ensuite bathrooms are available. Other things to note Access is via stairs or gondola. As there is currently no handrail for the stairs, these are at the guest's risk and the gondola is recommended. The property is unfortunately not wheelchair-friendly, as three steps are required from the gondola to the ground level.
