The Berghüttli is a Swiss-inspired mountain hut and farm stay located in Goshen, VT (population 168). Inspired by the tradition of mountain huts in the alps, the Berghüttli provides a completely private mountain escape surrounded by National Forest. Located at Republic of Vermont a thriving apiary and maple sugaring operation, guests are encouraged to take a tour of our sugarhouse and honey processing facility to learn about bees, honey and maple syrup production in Vermont. The Berghüttli is a two bedroom tiny house located deep in the woods of Goshen, Vermont. With walls covered in glowing maple plywood, the hut features a small kitchen with refrigerator and induction cook top and a full bathroom with a custom tiled shower. One bedroom (full bed) is located on the first floor and includes a sliding door for privacy. The second bed (king bed) is located up the ladder in the cozy loft. The Berghüttli is equipped with reliable Wifi high speed internet (50-100 Mbps) Guests have access to the entire private cabin and patio/grilling area. No other houses or structures can be seen from the cabin. Guests can message us through the Airbnb app with any questions or issues. The Berghuttli is located in Goshen, Vermont (population 168) about 25 minutes from Middlebury, Vermont. Our small mountain town is situated within the Green Mountain National Forest and surrounded by protected wilderness and seemingly endless forest. The Berghuttli is located directly next to the Brandon Gap Backcountry Recreation area, the Catamount Trail and the Long Trail. We are located 45 minutes from both Killington and Sugarbush and only 25 minutes from the Middlebury College Snow Bowl. We are located in a small dirt-road mountain town. Keep in mind that given our altitude, weather conditions can vary drastically from just a few miles away. Since our driveway is very steep and slick, anyone wishing to stay at the Berghuttli in the winter months must have AWD or 4WD and/or snow tires. If that is not an option people can park at our sugarhouse and walk to the Berghuttli (about 800 feet up hill). WiFi: The Berghüttli is outfitted with Starlink satellite internet. The internet regularly runs at 100-120/mbps. Because of the remote nature of the cabin there is limited cell phone service but the internet allows Wifi calling/texting. Winter Booking: Since our driveway is very steep and can be slick, anyone wishing to stay at the Berghuttli in the winter months must have AWD or 4WD and/or snow tires. If that is not an option people can park at our sugarhouse and walk to the Berghuttli (about 800 feet up hill).
