Description
Rustic, primitive 100 year-old mountain cabin in the heart of a 1200 acre forest and famous Victory Hill trail network, overlooking the White Mountains. A perfect base for roaming Victory and our secluded mountain area. Located "over the mountain" from Burke and Kingdom Trails. A quiet unforgetable retreat for hunting, fishing, exploring nature, wildlife viewing, mountain biking or just hanging out. No suburban amenities, towns, entertainment or commerce nearby. The space In addition to the original primitive 1920 main cabin space and kitchen, there is a newer addition with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. You will also have access to a smaller rustic cabin with large campfire for camping and cookouts. The kitchen has a two-burner portable range, a toaster over, microwave, and large refrigerator. Fresh gravity-fed mountain spring water. This is a remote and rustic cabin not for luxury seekers. Bathing in a clawfoot bath tub with shower. Store bikes in the woodshed but don't bring them in the cabin. A mountain getaway is for the adventurous, hardcore mountain bikers, hikers, skiers or hunters. Guest access Use the whole main cabin space, open woodshed, extra cabin space and two campfire areas. but please do NOT use the woodstove unless special permission is granted from our trailhead manager at 2428 Victory Hill Road. This cabin gives you direct access to nearly 20 miles of premium MTB trail, and is 5 miles from Kingdom Trails by bike. But YOU MUST sign a waiver at 2428 Victory Hill Road before riding. (No E-Bikes are allowed on the trails, except for riders with a disability.) Other things to note Don't expect luxury or suburban, but you will be comfortable. Victory was one of the last towns in the U.S.A. to receive electricity! Hot water heater is not huge so longer showers are not recommended (old clawfoot bathtub) . This is a remote mountain location and there is NO Verizon Cell service but the AT&T signal is strong. In October, mice sometimes visit the cabin, and mousetraps are often set for them.
