Amalia’s Traditional Home is a lovingly restored vacation base, perfect for families or groups of friends of up to five. It is situated close to Paradisi village centre which boasts excellent tavernas, cafes, supermarkets and other amenities. A nearby bus stop on the main transport route links easily with all of Rhodes’ fantastic attractions & beautiful beaches. Popular Ixia beach is 15 minutes by car, Rhodes Old Town is 30 minutes, and the airport is within walking distance. The space Even from the outside, with its pristine whitewashed walls and exposed stonework over the shuttered windows and door, you already sense Amalia’s Traditional Home will be exceptional. And you won’t be disappointed. Originally this was the outbuilding attached to Amalia’s grandparents’ home (Now Alicia’s Traditional Home), which was used to house livestock and supplies. Today it is immaculately renovated and restored, retaining many original features, including the corner fireplace and high ceiling arch, typical of many traditional buildings around Rhodes. Light and spacious throughout, this open plan home makes clever use of space and has two raised platform bed areas built from wood, each accessed by wood stairs. One has a double bed, while the other has a double mattress. At ground level, there is another double bed. The living area is tastefully decorated and has a luxurious sofa seating area and flat screen tv. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals and is conveniently adjacent to the relaxing dining area. The bathroom has a large shower cubicle. There is ample wardrobe and storage space, and louvred screens create a dressing room space. A separate desk area makes this ideal for digital nomads. The house is naturally cool in summer and retains heat in winter, but there is also reverse-cycle air conditioning. Outside there is off-street parking for one car, and a small patio area is ideal for taking a couple of chairs out to sit in the sun. Amalia's Traditional Home is attached to Alicia's Traditional Home, where Amalia's grandparents lived prior to moving to Canada.
