Our stylish, cozy and private guest studio is newly renovated and located in the heart of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley with easy access to freeways. We're close to the Van Nuys Flyaway (easy access to and from LAX), and a straight shot from Burbank’s Bob Hope Airport (5 miles). Though still in the city, our diverse neighborhood is tucked away from the major roads, which makes it a bit more quiet. Tree-lined streets are perfect for the popular Sunrise and Sunset walks. The space Thank you so very much for checking out "The Studio". It is perfect for couples as well as the individual business traveler and we would love to welcome you! The day prior to your arrival, you will receive your own 5-digit entry code, allowing for contact-free self-check-in. No keys, no hassle with lockboxes. Upon arrival, there is plenty of FREE PARKING on the street. You will enter through the Tiffany Blue, private, secure entrance and self-check-in to “The Studio”, which is 100% your own space. It has its own mini-split AC/Heater (no sharing AC with the main house). It is ground level, there are no stairs to climb. Because life is better with chocolate, a sweet “Welcome Treat” awaits you upon arrival. Feeling peckish? Thirsty? Enjoy a snack from the snack basket and any of the complimentary beverages from the fridge such as filtered water or a sparkling soft drink. The Studio features room darkening blackout shades, a Queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress and a soft topper, a variety of comfortable hypoallergenic pillows and a soft duvet (also hypoallergenic). An extra blanket can be found in the wardrobe for the cooler nights. Prefer to fall asleep to the sound of rain? No problem! A white noise machine has settings from a summer night, to rain and thunder that will help block out the occasional city / neighborhood noise and allow you to fall into that much-deserved sleep you've been looking forward to. A wardrobe, as well as a night stand provide room to store your belongings. The sitting area has 2 comfy chairs, a small side table and a 55” flat screen Smart TV with Netflix & Amazon Prime, allowing you to log in with your own Smart TV logins. The flat screen is mounted on a pivoting arm, so you can watch from almost anywhere in the space. A separate WIFI Network is available for “The Studio,” perfect for the business traveler, or for staying in touch with the home front. The private kitchenette has beautiful quartz counter tops, shaker cabinets with anti-slam drawers. In addition, there is a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker with a choice of regular and decaf coffee, flavored creamers and a choice of various sweeteners to make the perfect cup upon sunrise. For the tea drinkers, there is a wide tea selection. *PLEASE NOTE*: there is no stove-top to cook on, but our Guidebook includes a list of some of our favorite local eateries for you to check out. The modern private bathroom is equipped with a shower and a beautiful artisan, hand-carved sink made from a recycled wood beam. (Thank you, Hubster!) Towels, hair dryer, hygiene and shower products are available for your use. Note: all our shower products (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap & lotion) are CRUELTY FREE. CRUELTY FREE / ENVIRONMENT We love our animals and to that end, all our shower products, as well as our cleaning products and laundry detergent we use are cruelty-free. In addition, we want to do our best to reduce single-use plastics, so we provide glass storage containers for any left-overs you may want to save for the next day. CLEANING: We want to make sure you feel comfortable and are safe and therefore we take extra preventative measures when it comes to cleaning and disinfecting “The Studio”. We sanitize / disinfect all surfaces, doorknobs, handles and remote controls. Additionally, all bedding, towels and linens are washed on the “Sanitize Cycle”. While cleaning, we keep all doors and windows open to allow fresh air to enter. HOUSE PRACTICALITIES: “The Studio” is a separate, but attached unit to our family home. And although you don't share air, you do share a wall with the house. We took extra measures to sound-proof The Studio, but there is still some potential for ambient household noise since your TV/Wardrobe wall is shared with the our home's kitchen on the other side. In addition to the RING camera, our property is “guarded” by our rescue cat and dog, who live in the main house and roam the grounds, but do NOT have access to “The Studio”. We are a straight shot (5 miles) from Burbank's Bob Hope Airport. Depending on the weather / wind direction we sometimes have air traffic flying over the neighborhood during daytime hours.
