Our small, modern bungalow is completely private. Perfect for working as it is for a romance, or just coming to LI-NY for the weekend. The luxurious queen bed is great, alone, or shared, and the custom sofa converts into another bed or two in a pinch (ask us about this before booking, it's got its limits); keep in mind that this is an open loft-like space. We're located on Long Island's North Shore, close to beaches yet only 45-minutes from Manhattan, and less than an-hour to The Hampton's. The space This bungalow is completely self-sufficient and sits in a park-like setting. For us, the most important thing about having a place to spend the night - is the bed. For this reason, we didn't skimp, great (all-natural latex) mattresses, great pillows & bedding too. It is a large open studio with a cozy sleeping alcove, but the built-in sofa can convert into two additional comfortable twin beds. The whole space is well-appointed for either working or relaxing, and it's extremely private and quiet. The space is equipped with WIFI and a computer for work or pleasure. The TV has basic cable but also Chrome Cast so bring your Netflix account and relax. The kitchen is wonderful; whether you're just fixing a quick breakfast or making a gourmet meal. While the refrigerators are very small so as not to burden the space with unnecessary appliance intrusion, there is a supplemental fridge/freezer in the adjacent garage for long stays. There's also a small dishwasher, a gas stove top, oven and microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker and even a small gas BBQ out on the deck. It's all very elegant yet work-friendly with everything you need. Guest access This is a large lark-like property. The cottage itself is private, including a small privately enclosed deck to dine alfresco or take an outdoor shower. Other things to note This is a working horse farm and for this reason, we prefer not to host kids between 3 and 12, it's a bit dangerous for kids that age who are adventurous and don't understand the dangers of animals, no matter how domesticated. So this always requires a bit of discussion with prospective guests. PLEASE NOTE: We do have a few dogs that run free on the property, but they are very friendly. In short, we "discourage" bringing kids, but don't necessarily restrict them, after all, we're all kids at heart.
