Description

Perfect super clean place to work and stay. G-FIBER internet, safe neighborhood, free plentiful street parking, newly renovated, private. Bus line to UT and downtown! Walk/Nearby all day cafe/pub Hanks, TACOS, noodles, pub, Starbucks, tons of restaurants, Alamo movie theater, Mueller H-E-B Grocery, Dell Childrens. Quick drive to anything on east or downtown. Check our other reviews and other listings too ---people love everything we host. You are welcome here! You will love! The space This is a studio with a Queen bed, kitchenette and a bathroom. It is very comfortable and cozy. It is best for 2 people. The backyard and patio have chairs and a table. Internet works great inside and outside. The backyard and patio connect with a main house which we rent separately. You are in Windsor Park which is a midcentury neighborhood next to a new neighborhood called Mueller with tons of casual food options and nice restaurants. If yr here for the festivals the bus is actually unusually excellent here bc it takes you quickly most anywhere you wd want to go. Bus is the 10-- that goes from the end of our block thru Mueller, Thru the UT campus, past downtown and the Capitol and right to the convention center. But also you cd get bikes lmk and I can send suggestions on where to order from delivered to the house. Austin is fundamentally a driving City though. So most people rent a car. Guest access This Studio is located on the back half of a residential property. It is completely separate from the main house with its own private entrance. Walk up the driveway to the Cabin and there you are. Parking is free and plentiful on this residential street. We do recommend getting a car as Austin is kind of like LA in that its a driving town. But it is also cheap to uber/lyft the short distances anywhere on the east side. It's easy to get to UT, Downtown, or anywhere on the east side. Other things to note If yr here for the festivals the bus is actually unusually excellent here bc it takes you quickly most anywhere you wd want to go. No parties or extra guests beyond those listed in reservation as this is located in a residential neighborhood No onsite laundry however there is an awesome clean laundromat 2m drive away that takes card payment and has a wash-and-fold counter with same-day turnaround. NEARBY Food: -Hanks is an all day cafe near the house light roast coffee and hip atmosphere -We are super into locals spot Little Deli for huge salads sandwiches and pizzas. -Xian-et their dan dan noodles with the triangle shape -L'Oca d'Oro super nice Italian has a hh too -Tsuke Edomae (good luck scoring seats here), -The places in the Mueller HEB food hall (not kidding--the bbq is so underrated easily better than most chains, the Japanese place we get the chicken katsu curry, Roots Chicken Shak fries their chicken in duck fat - it's some of the best fried chicken in Austin and their chicken biscuit), halal corner is really good for casual gyro & they have tons of awesome vegan options. -Rebel cheese. It’s a vegan deli shop Bao'd up more for the boba than the baos. I -Veracruz tacos has a new location in Mueller Austin favorite -Taqueria Mi Trailita. Just outside the neighborhood proper but a short walk, fantastic tacos from a funky trailer . -BD Riley’s. Their fish n chips is huge. -Lady Quackenbush for cakes and cookies -Mum foods does one of the best pastrami in town like they shd win awards imo -Teddy V for Levain style cookies -Taqueria Mi Trailita. Just outside the neighborhood proper but a short walk, fantastic quesabirria tacos. -Of course On Sundays, check out the farmers market. They have pierogis, dumplings, kebabs, chilaquiles, tamales, etc. -Gino’s Vino Osteria? Very underrated Italian spot. -Colleen’s kitchen --southern food, and Cobb salad is amazing
