Beautiful royal-village cottage with wood-burner
Description
Eastmost Cottage is in a wonderful position on the edge of the historic village of Falkland. It's a short walk from the fine Renaissance Falkland Palace, the heart of the medieval village with its independent shops, cafes restaurants and pub. There is great walking in the Lomond hills, accessible on foot. The wonderful Covenanter has great food all day; the Hayloft and Pillars of Hercules are lovely cafes. The Stag is a lovely bistro (our fav). Fine dining at the Boar's Head in Auchtermuchty. The space The cottage is a traditional terraced cottage typical of the village of Falkland. The charm of the house is its double height living space with mezzanine bedroom accessed by spiral staircase. The character and age of the property means the eaves of the bedroom reach low into the room (see photos) and the bed is most easily accessed from the left side. There is space round the right side too, but watch your head! The lovely wrought iron spiral staircase is hard on bare feet - bring your slippers. Guest access The whole cottage and garden are at your disposal Other things to note There is parking at the side of the house in the garden area. The narrowest part of the access is 3.2metres, and the turn is a bit awkward. The trick is to drive up parallel to the house and reverse back into the gravel space so you are pointing outwards for getting out. I have added a couple of photos of our lovely local garden centre delivery man parking and leaving which shows it is accessible for even quite large vehicles. Registration Details 23/00652/STLSL
