The Telluride Bunkhouse

The Telluride Bunkhouse is designed to take you back in time to the rugged, western days of simple living. It is newly built yet has a cabin like feel and smell of old wood and low light ambiance. Everything was selected to purposely add a rustic appeal. The furniture and props are old, but everything that matters is clean. Sheets, mini fridge, and microwave are brand new. There is no TV or internet inside the bunkhouse. We are completely surrounded by woods, so trees limit access to satellites. The space There is a private residence on the property. The Telluride Bunkhouse is about 200 feet behind the main house and directly next to a new red barn. There is no hay or animals in this barn. Inside the bunkhouse, the main room (with all 5 beds) is about 270 Sq Ft and the bathroom is about 70 Sq Ft. While the listing says it will sleep 4, we are referring to 4 adults. We are happy to host up to an additional 2 children or a maximum total of 6 individuals. Having the small bathroom for all to use is our prime consideration for this option. It is best suited as a "family space" as children would enjoy this experience. There is a small corner to make coffee or tea and to heat up oatmeal or “carry out” meals in the microwave. Since there is no sink other than the one in the bathroom, we would ask you to leave dirty dishes in a small dish tub for the host to sanitize later in the main residence, or text us to pick up. There is a small table which has 4 chairs around it and one extra chair near the coffee area. Guest access We welcome guests to walk around the property and enjoy the open spaces. There is a scenic view on the other side of the newer barn that looks out over the valley. There are white wrought iron chairs in that same area near the woods to enjoy this particular space.
