Welcome to our spacious well-appointed country farmhouse nestled in the White Mountains! The Cannon Mountain House looks up towards Cannon, Lincoln and Lafayette & is 25 minutes to either Bretton Woods or Loon. Relax indoors or out after a day of hiking, kayaking, biking, antiquing, or skiing in this beautiful home. Our classic farmhouse exudes warmth, charm, and character. It awaits you and your family for a memorable retreat. The space Through your own private entrance we offer half of our farmhouse with 3 well furnished bedrooms: 1 king, 1 queen, and 2 twins, plus one and a half bathrooms upstairs; while downstairs offers a living room with gas fireplace, expansive views of Sugar Hill, a small dining table, and ample seating. Coffee bar, small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and light snacks provided. There is no kitchen access. There is no TV but hi speed internet for streaming on your own device. Wine & cocktail glasses plus big ice cubes provide the foundation of a relaxing evening indoors or out. The Franconia Inn within walking distance offers fine dining, a pub with large fireplace, massages, horse drawn sleigh rides and trail rides, XC skiing, and tennis. Restaurants, craft breweries, and a market are within a few miles in town. For your “work from home” convenience we offer Starlink satellite internet averaging 100 Mbps and great wireless coverage. There is a no smoking policy on the property indoors or out which will result in at least a $250 fee if evidence is found of smoking, to include odor. For your recreational fun we offer access to 2 mountain bikes, plus a secure garage with stand, tools, wash station for bikes and hiking gear. While we welcome children of all ages, our home is not child-proofed per modern safety guidelines. As a reminder this is a very old home. Guest access You will have full access to the entire suite, which is two floors, a downstairs large living room with bistro table, as well as a coffee bar and mini-fridge. The upstairs hosts 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths with a full bathtub and shower. Through French doors we offer a patio with seating as well as our porch. Other things to note While you have the entire suite to yourself, we live here on the family side of the farmhouse. We are here full-time, and your visit here to the farmhouse is one where you can expect to enjoy a quiet and relaxing visit. We do not play loud music, nor will we condone any loud or raucous behavior. This is a quiet getaway and not meant for gathering for a party or a large celebration. For stays longer than 5 days we require a second cleaning fee of $80 paid in cash and then again for every 5 day period after. We can arrange for this interim cleaning during your stay or just one big cleaning upon checkout.
