Description
Charming gîte on the Causses du Quercy near one of France's most beautiful villages, St Cirq Lapopie, and 20 minutes from the lively medieval town of Cahors. River 10 minutes away. Numerous hiking trails. Shops nearby. Very cool stone house in summer. All comforts with terraces to the south and east and a large area of 3 hectares, quiet and planted with trees. In July and August, renting only for the entire week ( sunday to sunday) The space The 45 m2 stone house has been refurbished to a very high standard and is non-smoking: A large bedroom with a 140 Dunlopillo bed and a large wardrobe. Sheets and towels not provided (€15 extra for a double bed set and €5 per set of towels per person). Bathroom with washing machine and towel dryer. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Separate WC. A large lounge/kitchen with a double sofa bed (Bultex 140 mattress) that can be left open during the day in the spacious lounge area. A fully-equipped kitchen with ceramic hob, oven, electric coffee machine and kettle. Large fridge and freezer. Dish and hand towels provided. The network is very good (4G) and you can also connect your computer to the livebox in the living room or activate the WIFI. No TV. Two covered terraces, one for breakfast in the morning when the sun rises over the forest and another for lunch and dinner at sunset (barbecue, plenty of garden chairs and sun loungers available). The house is adjoining the wooden house that I live in for part of the year, but the two spaces are well separated by blinds and screens and are far apart, so we usually only bump into each other in the car park when I'm there! We've never had any problems with privacy or noise... Young and old (!) children alike will have plenty of opportunity to observe the many birds, the occasional deer, and the magnificent starry sky above the large field with its unobstructed view... Animals are welcome, as the 3-hectare plot is superb for them and is largely enclosed... The gate overlooking the road can be closed for them.
