The space Bank Studio is set right back off the quiet road that runs through the quiet conservation village of Great Wolford. With large glass doors opening up onto the driveway giving lots of light, and a high vaulted ceiling with whitewashed beams, the lounge area is spacious, light and airy. There are 2 large sofas, footstools, a wicker armchair, a Smart TV, wooden storage and a fully equipped kitchen (with double oven, grill, microwave, induction hob, fridge, washing machine), and table lamps for cosy lighting. There is a double wardrobe with plenty of hanging space. It leads through to a beautiful modern Morrocan style bathroom with a bath, tiled ceramic heated flooring, a powerful overbath shower, a heated towel rail and a contemporary bathroom suite. The cosy double bedroom is at the back, made up with crisp white Egyptian cotton bedding, and plenty of cushions and throws, a chest of drawers and a chair. Enjoy your morning coffee at the bistro table outside or catch the warm evening sun with a glass of wine in the spacious front garden with a small pond. The large front lawn is for your exclusive use throughout your stay. We are very environmentally conscious and do all we can to reduce our waste and energy consumption. The Studio has underfloor heating throughout, powered by renewable energy with an Air Source Heat Pump and during the day, solar panels provide electricity. NB: We have 4 cats which are not allowed into the studio - however they are curious and friendly, and will demand to meet you when you come in and out! Bank Studio is self catering - we supply a welcome pack of teabags, ground coffee for the cafetiere, sugar, biscuits and oat milk. The towns of Moreton in Marsh and Shipston on Stour are less than 10 minutes away in the car where you can stock up more fully for your stay. Where are we? Bank Cottage Studio is in the quiet conservation village of Great Wolford, which is entirely surrounded by fields and farmlands so we have some lovely field walks straight from the front door. Being on the borders of 3 English counties - Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire - you can easily visit many well-known villages, towns, gardens and National Trust sites. - Moreton in Marsh and Shipston on Stour, both traditional market towns, are just 5 minutes (6kms) away by car. - Chipping Norton, Daylesford and Diddly Squat Farm shop and restaurant are just 20 minutes away - Stratford upon Avon, Banbury, Evesham, Burford and Cheltenham are between 30 and 45 minutes. - Oxford is an hour away by car, but just 35 minutes on the train from Moreton in Marsh station (5 minutes' drive away). Guest access The entire space is yours, with your own entrance. We'll send you the code for the keysafe so you can self-check in anytime from 4pm onwards. Other things to note The garden has a small ornamental pond so please take care! There is no street lighting (and thus minimal light pollution) in Great Wolford. We are very energy conscious and welcome guests who turn off lights when not in use and who turn the heating down when they go out! The bedroom cupboard houses a water tank which is attached to the AirSource Heat Pump - it can make a tiny noise in the morning as it heats the water up. Guests tell us they don't notice it at all but if you are very noise-sensitive or a light sleeper you might like to bring ear plugs.
