Alongside the extra wide doors and hallways, there are fourteen foot tall ceilings in the bedroom and dining area which gives the apartment a feeling of grandeur. Work from a built-in desk with a water view. The internet is fast and stable. It’s a wonderful place to take Zoom calls from. Guest access You have the whole apartment and expansive deck to yourself, and access to the building's dock, should you wish to hang out on it or use it as the launching point for a SUP or kayak adventure along the creek. The apartment has a designated parking spot in the garage, with additional ample free parking for your guests. Bike storage is available. This is an Elevator building and there are handicapped-accessible ramps for stair-free living. Other things to note You will have full access to the building’s dock. Bring your own kayak, SUP, or canoe and explore Corte Madera Creek. But, don’t be fooled by the name. The Creek, as we affectionately call it, is a tidal waterway that spans 350 feet between this apartment and the quaint stilted boardwalk bungalows that dot the far side of the Creek. Each day you get to watch the ocean waters rise and fall with the tides. Not only will you enjoy living on the creek, you may enjoy walking and biking along the Creek as well. From the apartment, you can walk/bike for several miles along a beautiful path that follows the Creek in both directions. There is also great hiking nearby. Just a 5 minute drive away is a 4 mile loop around King Mountain, or the out-and-back Dawn Falls trail amongst the majestic redwoods and waterfalls in the cooler months. One can also access the trails of Mt Tam and the “lakes” (Phoenix Lake, Langunitas Lake etc) within a few minutes drive. The owner of the apartment is an award-winning Italian cookbook author and, should you wish to brush up on your cooking skills during your stay, she offers guests a special rate for in-home classes. It is about a 3 min drive or 10 minute walk to Bon Air shopping center, with Mollie Stone’s grocery store, Gott’s Roadside, CVS, Peet's Coffee, Noah’s Bagels, Susy Cakes, and more. It is a 4 minute drive or 20 minute walk to quaint downtown Larkspur, with gourmet restaurants, wine bars, and boutiques. Or a 6 minute drive or 30 minute walk to Larkspur Landing/Marin Country Mart, for the farmer’s market, high-end shopping and dining, and ferry departures to San Francisco and other ports. Adjacent to extensive bike paths connecting you to all of southern Marin. 20 minute drive to San Francisco (the Presidio) or a 30 minute ferry ride to downtown SF, 25 minutes to Muir Woods, 30 minutes to Berkeley, 45 minutes to Point Reyes Station, 50 minutes to Napa; just over an hour to the Russian River in Guerneville.
