Cozy cottage located on a quiet backroad overlooking a wide open field with a deck that provides warm & sunny space for relaxing or reading a book. BFC has a warm farm house feel w/ a touch of the beach. Our kitchen is fully equipped w/ all you need to cook. BFC is located only a few miles from both seaside and bayside boat ramps. A 5 minute drive to Onancock, Walmart, YMCA, shopping & many local shops for just the right souvenir. Wachapreague, Wallops & Chincoteague are just a short drive away. The space Bell Farm Cottage LLC is nestled on a quiet back road with very little traffic making those morning or evening strolls peaceful and safe. Our location is ideal for just about any guest. The property is very spacious with lots of yard space in case you want to bring your boat🚤, canoe, kayak, bikes or your own fire pit. 🔥 When you arrive inside, you will immediately feel right at home. Over the years hosting, we have taken advice from previous guests and improved where we could. Outside we provide a gas or charcoal grill, beach chairs and coolers. We have a full size washer and dryer and all the kitchen amenities you can think of. Bringing your kiddos? GREAT! Got a blow-up pool 👙you want to use to entertain them? Just let us know and we will help you get set up with air and water. Too hot outside, give them some crayons and a coloring book or break out the cards.♣️ Our cozy living room has plenty of books to borrow and read with 3 reclining chairs, extra blankets and pillows just to make you feel a little more cozy. Our large wall mounted tv offers YouTubeTV for local channels and more, so bring along your other streaming providers if you wish. One of our best features is, QUIET. Yes, no neighbors playing loud music, no noisy streets. Just lots of space, fresh air and beautiful surroundings. Our cottage isn't just a vacation rental, it was our first home together, therefore we hope you cherish it just as much as we do. Please be kind to her. We are located only a few minutes from Onancock, Onley and Wachapreague, and about 30 minutes from Chincoteague Island. 🌞Onancock has an outside farmers market May through October, then inside November through April. Lots of local vendors, artisans and fresh local food. Take out the "Major Gayle" for a evening sunset cruise out of the Onancock Harbor. 🌞Chincoteague Island, famous for the Chincoteague ponies (really they live on Assateague Island) is about a 30 min. drive. The island is packed full of things to do and places to eat. In July, they have the famous Chincoteague Carnival and the annual Pony Swim. Take the day to check out Maui Jacks waterpark and grab a bite to eat at our favorite place, Captain Zacks! 🌞Wachapreague is a great place to take the boat out sightseeing or fishing. In June, they have the annual Wachapreague Carnival. The Wachapreague Inn offers great sandwiches and coffee along with local artists paintings and flowers. Be sure to ask me about local sightseeing tours or places to check out. There are plenty of boat ramps close by, places to crab off the dock or just go watch the sunset on a clear night. 🌞WANT TO GO TO THE BEACH? 🌞 Assateague Island (Federal Wildlife) *Fee Cape Charles Beach Kiptopeake Beach *Fee Saxis Island Beach There are a few small beaches on both bayside and seaside that you can check out. Interested in taking a private boat out to the Eastern Shore barrier islands or bayside in Onancock Creek? Just ask. It is like nothing you will ever experience. Guest access The code for the lock will be provided within 24 hours of your arrival depending on when the cottage is ready. Please enter & exit from the back door where your private code is located. This is for your safety & ours. The entire house is for your use except the pantry closet and the attic door. Other things to note If you are coming alone, feel free to ask for a reduced cleaning fee. We provide everything you could need to get you We provide a few snacks, bottled water, coffee & tea, sugar & sugar substitutes to get you started. Plenty of paper products, trash bags, dish detergent, cleaning products, and a few laundry pods. If you’re staying longer than 2-3 days, you may want to bring your own just in case. The small grey & white barn is where your trash goes, The grills are located as well as a few beach chairs and coolers. Please close and lock the door after each use. When arriving, please only park in the gravel driveway, unless you are coming with a motorcycle (please let us know), we ask that you do not block the garage doors. Please let us know if you will be using the gas grill so we can take it out of the barn for you. The cottage has a book with information on things to do in the area along with our own personal recommendations. We will make sure we are available if the need arises. SERVICE ANIMALS that are trained to work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability are welcome. We just ask that you let us know that you’re bringing a certified service animal. We have to take extra cleaning measures after you depart. Due to maintaining our septic system, we only provide septic safe toilet paper. If you would like to bring your own you are welcome. Many restaurants close earlier here than in the city. You are welcome to arrive anytime (prefer before dark) but if you plan to arrive later in the evening, you should plan to eat before arriving.
