Description

This Floating Tree Tent Glamping experience is placed on the banks of the river amid tropical rainforest. This is the perfect "adventure base camp" or quiet place to relax amongst the trees. Wine by campfire is a great way to finish any day! You have a private tiny kitchen, magical outdoor shower and bio toilet. It is a short walk to a beautiful private shady swimming hole. Surrender to mother nature’s nurturing embrace as you wake up to the sound of the river and birds, not your alarm. The space Take your coffee overlooking the river, then cook breakfast in the fully equipped tiny kitchen before venturing out to explore or to watch the local platypus. Head down to the creek at dawn or dusk and there is a good chance of spotting one of the local Platypus. Just ask us and we'll tell you the spots to head for. We have positioned the outdoor shower and kitchen to have great views of the river. Tree tents are very new and are essentially a combination of a tent and a super comfy hammock. In your tent you will find full bedding all set up to go. Guests are telling us that they get an amazing nights sleep in the tree tent. One recent guest told us her apple watch showed she had here best nights sleep in 3 years! We're convinced it's sleeping in a hammock tent immersed in the river song. Adjacent to your tent, under the cover of a number of waterproof sails is your small but well equiped outdoor kitchen, complete with gas cooker, pots and pans, cooking utensils, 12V power, usb chargers, mini-fridge and hot and cold water. On the side of the kitchen is your hot water outdoor shower overlooking the river. A few meters away is your own smell free composting toilet. This is a camping experience and if it gets a bit too much you can take advantage of our 'enjoyment guarantee'. If it gets a bit too wet or a bit to anything, just hop over to the main house and we have a private room with queen bed set up ready to go... just in case. Telstra and Optus give one or two bars, there is no TV coverage this high up the valley and Wifi is not available. It's a great time for a mini-digital-detox, but you will still get phone calls. Meals We have provided coffee & tea making facilities along with a selection of cooking basics however you will need to provide for all additional snacks, meals and beverages. We have a great big organic garden not far from your campsite. If you need anything to pad out your meal, a bunch of herbs, a chilli, whatever is thriving during your stay just jump in and pick it. The area is a hidden gem - 35min from Nerang, 35 minutes from Murillumbah, 25 minutes to Springbrook, 25 minutes Beechmont, 1 hour to Binna Burra, 20 Minutes to Hinze dam, close to the great walks track, and 8km from the start of the ‘bush rangers cave’ track. The Natural Bridge is a short drive. If you have not been, it’s a must do for your stay. Well formed tracks lead to some amazing geology, resulting in the entire creek dropping into a glow worm cave. Go during the day to enjoy the old growth rain forrest walk and the river, return at night to wonder at the glow worm cave. Nerang or Murwillumbah are is pretty much the closest big shopping areas with restaurants, takeaways and supermarkets. If you have not done so already, you can stop in on your way to stock up there. If you're looking for takeaways on your way in from Brisbane and are an Indian lover, I recommend 'Foodie Indiya' Nerang. The Advancetown tavern is probably the closest place to get a meal and is about 25 minutes away. Guest access You have access to the entire property including the river and a number of beautiful swimming holes. You also have private access to your area of the tent, the kitchen, shower and toilet.
