Welcome to the Freeman Retreat! Wake up to the sound of the ocean in this beautifully furnished home. The hill top spot means there are breathtaking sea views from every room. Curl up with a book in the egg chair, watch the sun rise over the ocean from your bed, or just enjoy the views. It’s a peaceful spot, but you’re only a few hundred metres from the beach and Yeppoon’s growing collection of independent shops and cafes. Thoughtful extras like a beach kit and games will top off your stay. The space Split over two floors, this two bedroom two bathroom townhouse has everything you need for a great stay with family or friends. It’s one of three townhouses, with its own private entrance from the street, private garden and driveway, and no common areas. There is air conditioning throughout, so you can stay cool whatever time of the year you visit. Downstairs: Queen bedroom, laundry, garage The Queen bedroom has sea views from both windows - you can literally see and hear the ocean without even getting out of bed! There is an en suite with a shower, and a large built in wardrobe with plenty of space for both hanging and folded clothes. The fully equipped laundry includes a washer, dryer, vacuum cleaner, iron, and ironing board. Next to that is the garage, which has our beach kit for you to use - beach towels, picnic blanket, picnic basket, beach bag, mini cool lunch bag, and beach toys. There are also a few umbrellas in case it rains and a couple of yoga mats if you want to take advantage of any of the beach sunrise classes available. Upstairs: King bedroom, living and dining spaces, bathroom, office nook, balcony. Head up the stairs and you’ll be greeted by two sets of french doors out to the balcony, that runs the full length of the unit. Here you can enjoy the panoramic views of the ocean and the beach from the super relaxing swinging egg chair, or while having a meal using the outdoor dining furniture. You can also enjoy time outside in the private garden at the front of the house. The living room features two arm chairs, a Hisense 55 inch smart TV, and a three seater eco-friendly sofa that (very easily) turns into a spacious and comfortable king sized bed. There are games and playing cards in the TV cupboard too. Again - sea views from the window and the french doors. The dining area has comfortable Early Settler chairs around a glass table and sea views from the french doors. Next to that is an office nook featuring our book swap - feel free to take a new one away with you and leave one you’ve finished reading behind for a future guest! The kitchen has high quality appliances including a dishwasher. There’s also a coffee plunger, sandwich press, smoothie maker, and a stove top espresso maker pot. The kitchen is very well equipped - after staying in a few air bnbs where it was tricky to make a meal, this was something we wanted to avoid here! We have things for kids too - plastic cups and plates, children’s cutlery, and a high chair booster seat. There’s all the basics you’ll need to cook - olive oil, salt and pepper, some herbs and spices, and stock cubes - plus some tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and sweetener so you can get a cuppa as soon as you arrive. Like the Queen, the King bedroom has a sea view from bed and there’s plenty of wardrobe space here too. Across the hall from the bedroom is another bathroom, with a shower. We provide Australian made shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Other things to note The house is on top of the hill so you can take full advantage of the panoramic views. It’s less than 10 minutes’ walk to Yeppoon main beach but the walk back can be steep. We usually walk back up via Adelaide Street rather than Hill Street, as the incline is a bit gentler. If you’d rather drive there’s plenty of free parking along the sea front, a large multi story car park in the centre, or paid parking near the lagoon.
