Lucky Lodge at the Shamrock Cottages

In the heart of the Adirondacks, unplug from your phones & computer and charge your own batteries. You will be surrounded by greenery, birds, bugs (that’s right, bugs) and mountain air. Close to the village which has grocery, bottle shop, ice cream, eateries, and more. Town & State beach & park for playground and tennis courts or weekly farmers market is just about 1.5 miles away. Launch kayaks in town. This 800 sq ft cabin is cozy and central to so much. Check out my guidebook for suggestions. The space The cabin is cozy and inviting, but just like you—it ain’t perfect. (Also, there is no public transportation/Uber/Lyft. Just in case that’s your usual mode of getting around). To be very clear-this cabin is not on the lake, although Airbnb likes to allude that it is. There are many lakes and access points all around. You will be centrally located, but do not have lake access via our cabin. Relax in the light filled sunroom which is perfect to enjoy your coffee or evening cocktail. Morning light fills the room. Front bedroom has a Queen bed, closet and dresser. The back bedroom has a full sized bed, dresser and closet. The sofa pull out is full sized and has a mattress topper. Each bedroom has a fan for white noise and a breeze. Being a camp, please go easy on the plumbing and appliances—as in, short showers and light laundry loads—but the washer and dryer are for your convenience. Things to note: You will see spiders, cobwebs and bugs—despite ridding the corners daily. It’s a camp in the Adirondacks and we guarantee a few friendly critters. You will have algae in your swim suit after a long day of fresh water swimming and floating. It’s worth it. But fair warning. You will hear noises in the woods. We live in their space and the furry neighbors tend to party at night. Please discourage furry visitors by cleaning up all food, grill, and bevvies after your campfire hangs. No trash left outside please and thank you! Guest access The entire cabin. The side yard that backs up to the state land forest. The fire pit in the side yard. Two kayaks available. Kayaks can be launched at many of the local lakes nearby. NOTE-we do not provide unlimited wood for outdoor fires. Our goal is to provide you with enough for one cozy evening and point you to town for more. Other things to note Absolutely no smoking inside. If you do smoke outside, please pick up all butts and dispose of. Bed sheets/pillows/blankets/towels are provided. Bring your own beach towels. There are two other cabins on the property. Love thy neighbor. Leave nothing but footprints behind and sleep tight.
