Perfectly positioned in the heart of the beautiful Regency town of Sidmouth in East Devon, Millbank overlooks the picturesque River Sid and is just 5 minutes' walk from the town's majestic promenade and sand and shingle beach. The house was fully renovated in 2022 and offers spacious, charming and luxurious living spaces for families or friends. The space Millbank is a luxurious and spacious four bedroomed holiday home overlooking the picturesque River Sid in the heart of the Regency coastal town of Sidmouth. It is a mere 5 minutes' stroll from the sea front. Millbank has been refurbished throughout; the accommodation is presented to the highest standard with tasteful and comfortable furnishings and retains many beautiful period features. As you enter the property, head into the kitchen/diner where, after a fun-filled day exploring the coastline, you can gather your friends and family around the dining table for a celebratory home-cooked meal and then relax on the sofas in the front part of the spacious sitting room to watch a film. If others in your group would prefer to relax with a book or play a game, the rear part of the sitting room is a warm and welcoming area with comfortable additional seating. The kitchen has everything you will need for your stay. The utility area next to it has a washing machine, tumble dryer, separate toilet and basin as well as an area for storing coats and shoes. Beyond the utility area is the brand new sun room, which is a wonderfully warm and bright room with a table and chairs: ideal for having a quick bite to eat while watching the birds in the garden or playing a competitive game of cards in the evening! There is also a collection of books as well as a Sega Megadrive for any retro gamers out there! French doors open out from both the sun room and the back of the sitting room into the beautiful, large and sunny enclosed rear garden which has a lawn, outdoor dining table and chairs, deckchairs and is surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. Guests have access to a lockable shed at the bottom of the garden where bikes can be stored. Heading upstairs to the first floor, two beautiful and bright bedrooms await. The spacious master bedroom has a smart TV with Freeview as well as a small en suite with a shower cubicle, toilet, basin and heated towel rail. A door opens out from the master bedroom to a private balcony with a bistro set overlooking the picturesque River Sid: ideal for watching the world go by! The double bedroom on the first floor has garden views as well as use of the separate bathroom, which is just a few steps away. This bathroom has a large walk-in shower, toilet, basin and heated towel rail. On the second floor, there are two further bedrooms, both with zip and link beds. The front bedroom has a super king bed, though this can be converted to two single beds if desired, a smart TV with Freeview as well as lovely river views. The other bedroom contains a king size bed, which can be split into two small 2'6" beds if preferred. This bedroom enjoys a garden view. The family bathroom is situated midway up the stairs to the second floor and contains a bath, separate shower cubicle, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail. Other things to note Millbank benefits from reserved parking for one car approximately 150m (2-3 minutes' walk) from the house. Further details and directions will be emailed to guests in advance of their arrival. Unrestricted free parking is also available approximately 200m from Millbank. In addition, parking on Millford Road itself is available for a maximum of 2 hours with no return within one hour. This is enforced between the hours of 10am and 6pm seven days a week. If necessary, loading and unloading of luggage etc can also be effected by pulling up briefly on the double yellow lines outside the house, though vehicles must not be left unattended whilst loading and unloading.
