The Monticello Cave

Just half an hour from our capital city, in one of the most iconic places in our country, lies this gem! High up in the mountains of Los Planes de Renderos, lost in nature, this is where our adventure begins! This mountaintop cave has it all: views, flora, and fauna. To get there, you'll need a high-rise vehicle, as you'll have to drive on a dirt/stone road. We also provide transportation from Los Planes de Renderos to our destination! The space La Cueva offers a spacious and modern design. With a 5-meter-long window, it feels like you're in the clouds overlooking San Salvador! Many times we also find fog in the rainy season that interrupts our sight but fills our hearts with warmth. Lying in bed, sitting in the living room or bathing in the shower, we achieve the splendor of this view! Guest access The lot is large and you can walk as far as your feet will take you! We offer two viewpoints, one overlooking San Salvador/San Salvador Volcano and the other overlooking Ilopango Lake/San Vicente Volcano. We also offer campfire service: just ask Ernesto for the prices and Don Víctor can set up a small fire for you.
