"La casetta nel bosco" is an environment surrounded by the greenery of chestnut and linden trees, to "listen to nature that speaks" but also music (speakers on every floor, even outdoors) and let yourself be lulled by moments of slow, simple, authentic life. It is located in a small alpine village from which you can reach other villages and towns, on foot and by car. The garden for exclusive use with dining area, barbecue, swimming pool, parasols and deckchairs is much loved. Wi-Fi is available. The space Premise: to accommodate families with children, I have provided the possibility for their children under the age of 12 to stay free of charge. Before making the reservation, you need to write me a message (which you can find in the host's reserved section) in which, after verifying the age of the children, I can change the price, making their stay free. Entering through the front door, you are in the living room with table, refrigerator and freezer, induction top 4 plates, oven and microwave, including all cooking equipment; there is also a double sofa bed, a pouffe, and a hammock. There are several condiments, cooking spices, coffee, tea, and herbal teas of various kinds. In the living room you can also use the small satellite TV, the DVD and DVD player, a bluetooth stereo system with CDs, books, games and some musical instruments. The house is heated by a very efficient stove that allows you to heat even the upper part of the accommodation. An internal staircase leads to the bedroom, with a double bed and a bunk bed. There is a small bathroom in the room. The window, with a view of the forest and sky, becomes a picture of stars at night; however, those who want to can also use blackout curtains. On the lower floor, with an entrance from the outside, there is the largest bathroom with shower and ventilation heater; there is also a small room not heated with 4 "emergency beds". In this place there is a washing machine and you can find a sled and a bob to use to go in the snow. Leaving the living room, in the garden there is a barbecue, a table and lunch benches, deck chairs and umbrellas of various kinds as well as a 4x2 pool during the summer months. From the garden you can see the peaks of Monte Rosa and the Regina Margherita Hut, the highest refuge in Europe (you can find the binoculars in the drawer). The home can be a refreshing stop on the GTA (Great Crossing of the Alps) route. Approximately 70 meters of walking in the woods behind the cabin, you can find an evocative sink: when it is not dry, you can draw the water directly from the spring. CODE CIR10301400011 Guest access The cabin is located in the small hamlet of Ielmala in the municipality of Calasca Castiglione. It can also be reached by train to Domodossola and then take the bus to Macugnaga (Castiglione or Porcareccia stop) or Piedimulera. By agreeing in advance, you can be accompanied by the bus stop, from Piedimulera or Domodossona to Ielmala by a trusted person with his car. To get there by car, exit the highway for Macugnaga, take an asphalt road for about a kilometer and a half uphill. Once you pass the hamlet of Porcareccia, you arrive at the Crotto, a hamlet of very few houses; there you can park or you can take a dirt road on the right for m. 350 where you can park after the bridge or go up by car for 150 meters and leave it in the small 4-seater parking lot. If you go up to the end of the path with the car, it is advisable to take the last 50 meters of climb to avoid stopping with the car halfway, otherwise it is better if you leave the car after the bridge. At the end of the dirt road, walk a path to the cabin for a total of 5 minutes. Halfway along this route is the Ancient Oven of Ielmala and you can see the cabin, on the bottom left as shown in the photo. Small bags and suitcases are recommended given the piece on foot.
