Charming two bedroom cottage in Waternish, Skye

In a quiet little gathering of crofts known simply as ‘Bay’, nestles Two Bay Cottage -  a charming, detached croft set in a rural spot in Waternish on the quieter, west side of the Isle of Skye. The cottage has recently been renovated to the highest standard and boasts a wonderfully spacious open-plan kitchen/living room with stunning views of the bay. With two well-sized bedrooms, it is the perfect getaway for a couple, small families or a group of friends to unwind and relax. The space Accessed via a single track road, Two Bay commands uninterrupted and quite spectacular views of the bay (no matter what weather Skye throws at you). An old outbuilding conversion of some 30 years, recently renovated, Two Bay provides a cosy base for a trip to the rugged Isle and all its attractions. With its log burning stove and open plan upside down living space, this stone built cottage has been tastefully refurbished to provide couples, small families or friends all the home comforts needed for a total off grid break. With two bedrooms, one king size and one twin downstairs, along with a shower room and separate WC, there is plenty of space upstairs with open plan kitchen, living and dining to kick back and relax after exploring this famous Isle. With outdoor seating for those occasional sunny days, there is also a small laundry area at the cottage's entrance for discarding the waterproofs when the weather isn't quite so kind. For the hardiest of guests, there is even an outdoor shower after a cold water plunge in the bay. But what makes this cottage a real 'belter' (translation: the pièce de résistance) is the brand new out-space adjoining the cottage which provides an additional socialising area and even includes the nicknamed 'The Old Store Bar'. Here, guests can spend all day or night chilling, playing cards or even watching tv (if you get bored of the spectacular view through the floor to ceiling bifold doors). Even the crazy Scottish weather can be enjoyed from this cosy space whilst kicking back with a local gin or whisky from the honesty bar. What also makes it truly special is the upstairs 'wellness' area with a freestanding bath, bean bag sofa and selection of books to truly switch off. Waternish offers more than beautiful views and landscapes. Guests can enjoy the taste of Skye with some of the best fresh local food and drink the island has to offer. Michelin star 'Loch Bay' is a stone's throw away in Stein, and the world-renowned 'The Three Chimneys' just a 20 minute drive. Waternish also boasts some of the best sunset and night sky gazing locations in Scotland, all of which you can do from the comfort of Two Bay Cottage.
