The Dawg House- Garage apartment on farm near UGA

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Our son attends UGA and we realize how difficult it is for families to find lodging to visit their students. Our garage apartment is the perfect place to stay when coming into town for events. Local dining is 10-17 minutes away and UGA is 17 miles with a typically thirty minute drive. Come see your student and then go antique shopping, hiking, or enjoy local festivities. The space Our beautiful front porch overlooks our pond that houses ducks, our fire pit is perfect to cook s’mores, our creek and woods path behind the home is a relaxing setting, and the beautiful pastoral driveway down the front of the farm is home to our horses and our cow, Cindy Lou Moo, who loves getting pats and giving kisses. Because it is a working farm, there may be slithering and crawling creatures who like chicken and duck eggs as much as we do. We welcome service animals, but recommend communication as you come and go so our German Shepherd does not interfere with your your animal’s tasks. Guest access Guests will have access to the garage apartment located over our oversized 2 car garage, where our sweet elderly cat will check you out then check you in. The stairs are steep. The apartment’s entry is through our garage with an exterior door with a keypad. There is also a keypad entry directly on the apartment door. We will be sharing a driveway, but there is ample guest parking for 2 vehicles or a car and small Uhaul in the circular driveway in front of our house. Other things to note If you will be out walking the property or using the fire pit, you may want to let us know so that it is not our German Shepherd notifying us first.
