The "Shanti Yurt" is a haven for deep relaxation with forest views. Located on 2,5 acres of forest in Wintergreen Bragg Creek, the land offers access to nearby hiking trails, golf, West Bragg Creek day-use area, horseback riding, Elbow Falls, and 11 awesome places to dine in Bragg Creek. The space The name "Shanti" means inner peace in Sanscrit and this is all about the space you will stay in. Yurts have been the primary style of home in Central Asia, particularly Mongolia, for thousands of years. Shanti Yurt was designed by a Mongolian Artist who painted by hand the wood beams and the entrance door. The Yurt arrived from Mongolian Syberia in March 2022 and we spent 3.5 months building it by ourselves (my husband Nick and myself with the help of Nick's friends). The yurt is 20ft in diameter and has an open space layout. As we were creating a space for romantic getaways and meditation retreats, we chose a Bohemian style for the interior. Pls, let me know if you are planning to use the sofa bed in advance so that I prepare a second set of bedding for you. - Breville Barista coffee machine + roasted coffee beans and syrup - start your day with a Starbucks coffee or even better :-) - Spacious deck with BBQ and propane side burner for outdoor cooking, lounge chairs and a patio dining set - Custom-made natural rock wood firepit - Propane patio firepit (for the days with fire ban) - Boho swing set - Skylight Dome - Indoor wood stove for heat + triple insulated walls keep you cozy in winter. - Kitchenette - microwave, toaster oven, utensils and cutlery, pots&pans, minifridge, dishes and wine glasses, spices. - Forest Views - Parking right next to the Yurt - Large tongue drum and a music book - try creating your own meditation music - Air conditioning in summer - WiFi - Smart TV with Netflix and Disney Plus subscriptions - Stereo/karaoke system - Water dispenser (cold/hot drinkable water). - A collection of books and board games - Private Full Bathroom with a Shower for Two (two shower heads - try it, it is amazing!) - the bathroom is not shared and is reserved for the Yurt guests. Designed to stay cool in the summer, and equipped with a powerful wood stove to keep you warm throughout winter, we invite you to come back each season for a unique experience. With all its comforts, the Yurt is a GLAMPING experience - glamorous camping. The camping aspect includes occasional bugs/mosquitos that might find their way into your yurt. Please come with the mindset that this will be a unique nature immersion experience, coupled with the cushiest of comforts. At the same time, our Yurt is not a tent or a glamping dome, it is a solid and very well-insulated structure, which doesn't leak in rain, doesn't shake in wind and is toasty warm in winter. The Shanti Yurt is part of the Bragg Creek Glamping family of retreat spaces and sits on the same property as your host's house and the Rustic Cozy Cabin (additional private guest space). Both the Cabin and the Yurt have exclusive access to their own designated outdoor areas and designated bathrooms. Other things to note -PETS Allowed for a fee. - 4 guests maximum occupancy - Rest easy knowing quiet hours on the property are strictly observed 10 pm-8 am - As we are located in the forest there is no cell reception. We do have good wifi. - Please ring firewood for the wood stove and the firepit. - There is no running water in the yurt. We provide a water dispenser. There is a dishwasher in the corridor next to the bathroom.
