Welcome to Idrein, a charming sunny hamlet nestled 700 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Bethmale Valley, in the heart of the Pyrénées Ariégeoises Regional Natural Park. Surrounded by mountains, forests, and unspoiled landscapes, an ideal setting for nature and mountain lovers. An invitation to discover an authentic and generous Ariège. Close to many hiking trails. You can discover Lake Bethmale with its colors that change throughout the seasons. The space A mountain house spread over three floors, offering a simple, comfortable and warm setting for taking a break and recharging. On the ground floor, there is a 25 m² living room. The kitchen is equipped to easily prepare your meals: hob, oven, microwave, fridge with small freezer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, hand blender. There is also a table, chairs, a small sofa and a TV, as well as a toilet. On the 2nd floor, a spacious 25 m² bedroom awaits you with a balcony offering a beautiful view of the mountain. It has a double bed (140 x 190), a bathroom and a washing machine. On the 2nd floor, a second bedroom of 18 m², with a sloping ceiling, offers two single beds as well as a toilet. Outside, a small terrace in front of the house facing southeast allows you to enjoy the sunny days in a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere (small barbecue available) Bed sheets, bath towels and tea towels are provided. The house does not have Wi-Fi, but the 4G network is available. Upon arrival, you can park for a few moments on the terrace in front of the house to unload your belongings at your leisure. A private parking space is then available just 50 meters (164 ft) from the house. We have chosen not to charge a cleaning fee in order to limit the cost of your stay. In return, we thank you for taking the time to do the end-of-stay cleaning. For periods when heating is required, a contribution of €10 per night to heating costs is requested. This will be paid upon your arrival. Other things to note Just a 5-minute drive away, Castillon-en-Couserans offers all the essential shops and services: bakery-pastry shop, butcher shop, Carrefour Express, doctor's office, pharmacy, as well as an outdoor swimming pool to enjoy the sunny days. If you want to enjoy nature, you can also reach Castillon-en-Couserans on foot from Idrein, taking a marked path through the forest. About a 20-minute drive away, Saint-Girons welcomes you with its many shops and its large picturesque Saturday morning market. On Sunday morning, there is a small market in Engomer to discover local produce and flavors.
