Welcome to our 3-star gîte 'An Kay Ou', an unusual and cozy accommodation where you will feel right at home! At the gateway to the Diois and Vercors, you will find a peaceful and family-friendly environment and many activities within walking distance: swimming, walks, and hikes. You will be staying in a newly renovated 18th-century house in the heart of the village, with a garden and a private terrace for your leisure time, facing the Drôme River and its hills. The space The cottage consists of a kitchen, a dining/living room, a bathroom/toilet, and two bedrooms, each with a double bed. There is a sofa bed in the living room that can be used as an extra bed. In the summer, enjoy the coolness of the house thanks to its thick stone walls! This accommodation includes a garden and an adjoining private shaded terrace of 20 m2, with a table, chairs, and a swing. Upon request, we provide you with a baby bed, baby bath, etc. A few kilometers from the village, you can enjoy the activities that the Drôme offers in any season: hiking, mountain biking, canoeing and kayaking, via ferrata, climbing, caving, paragliding, summer markets and outdoor activities in summer, as well as snowshoeing, cross-country and downhill skiing, or dog sledding in winter. Resorts close to Pontaix (between 30 and 60 minutes): Col du Rousset (28 km), Vassieux en Vercors (38 km), Fond d'Urle (45 km), Herbouilly (62 km). Guest access The house is located in a pedestrian alley, about 150 meters from the village parking lot. However, you can park near the cottage to unload your vehicle. IMPORTANT: The vacation rental and its terrace are accessible via an external staircase (original stone construction); unfortunately, the conditions are not suitable for PRM access.
