Description
Welcome to The Hideaway. We have created a compact home from home to cater for all your needs. The studio is fitted out to a high standard and is a fantastic place to stay for tourists, working employees, couples and a safe haven for the solo traveller. This is a quiet, dedicated space with your own entrance. Located in the Cornish countryside in the village of Trematon, with easy access to the A38 for routes in and out of Cornwall, with secure off road parking (and garage for motorbikes). The space A studio with king size bed, breakfast bar for two, cosy armchair, ensuite shower room and kitchenette (with ceramic hob, microwave/grill and fridge with icebox). As well as being centrally heated there is a wall mounted fire in the bedroom area, along with plenty of storage. There are no washing facilities at the Hideaway, but for a small fee you can use the washing machine/dryer in the main house. There is a small washing line outside for drying towels, etc, after a day at the beach. There is a small outside seating area with barbecue (and charcoal), set amongst the trees, the perfect place to sit and enjoy your breakfast or a glass of wine after a busy day exploring. There is off road parking and we can also offer secure parking in an alarmed garage for motorbikes/bicycles. A cosy space in a rural location, which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near to local lanes making it so easy to get out and discover the brilliant spots right on the doorstep, perfect for walking or cycling. We will leave you to enjoy your holiday, however, we live close by so are on hand for any questions or information that you may need during your stay. Our listing shows a maximum stay of 14 nights, but please contact us if you would like to stay longer and we will do our best to accommodate you. Guest access The keys will be available for you on arrival in a key safe. There is a designated parking space to the side of the garage (on the right as you come onto the drive) and you have your own entrance via a private gate. The parking space and path to the front door is well lit should you need to arrive later. There is secure off road parking and also parking available in an alarmed garage for motorcycles/bicycles. Other things to note Ideally located on the Cornwall and Devon border close to the A38 giving you the opportunity to explore both counties so you will always have plenty to do. There are plenty of local amenities just a few miles away in the town of Saltash that include supermarkets, butchers, chemists, pubs and restaurants. There are a range of Cornish beaches to choose from, south or north coast options, the closest being just over 15 minutes by car. Explore the stunning Whitsand Bay area with spectacular views from the coast road. The famous beaches in and around the Newquay area are approximately an hour's drive. Enjoy day trips to the popular harbour towns of Looe, Polperro, Mevagissey, Fowey and Falmouth. The Eden project is always a popular destination. Further afield you have the option of standing at Land's End or you could visit St Ives for the day. Plymouth offers plenty to see and do whatever the weather. Royal William Yard is home to numerous shops, restaurants and events. If you’re looking for a place to relax, the iconic Plymouth Hoe and Barbican offer magnificent views across the Sound and are a great place to enjoy some fish and chips or an ice cream (or maybe both – you are on holiday). Mount Edgcumbe House is a fantastic spot to visit, with up to seven miles of coastline and grounds to explore that offer spectacular views across to Plymouth. If you’re looking for a bite to eat, The Crooked Inn is a fabulous pub only a 20 minute walk away that serves delicious food and boasts a brilliant section of wines. We love this corner of the world and will look forward to sharing it with you and helping to make your stay a special one.
