(We also have a three-bedroom Studio 2 available—check our other listing!) "Studio 1" is located on the ground floor of a converted former toy factory. The double brick walls keep it cool year round, and factory-style windows, and an industrial facade give it a unique feel. Inside, you'll find a comfortable and cozy hideaway, styled with gorgeous wood paneling that offers comfort and charm in the best part of Melbourne's west. This private apartment is the perfect base for exploring Melbourne. The apartment features a serene bedroom and living space, a private kitchen and dining area, and separate bathroom facilities with a shower and toilet. With its own locked access on the ground floor, your privacy is assured. The queen-sized bed is furnished with luxury Sheridan linen to ensure a restful sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee machine and all the essentials for preparing simple meals at home. However, with so many incredible restaurants and cafes just a short walk away, you’ll likely be tempted to sample the local cuisine! For those needing to work remotely or plan their Melbourne adventures, the study nook offers a comfortable space to connect to our high-speed fibre-to-the-premises NBN internet. A short row of east-facing industrial windows in the main room brings in beautiful morning light, giving the property a unique character. And if you prefer to sleep in, the serious blackout curtains will ensure you get the rest you need—just don’t forget to set an alarm! Guest access You'll have exclusive use of the 1-bedroom apartment, with a large bedroom/living space, kitchen and bathroom, on ground level. There is a shared entrance and hallway past our car space. Guests are welcome to use the laundry in our home upstairs if they need when we're around. Please note there is no balcony or outdoor area for this apartment. One row of openable industrial windows provides light to the main room. However, Seddon is a beautiful suburb to walk around! Other things to note STRICTLY NO PARTIES: another AirBnB and our home are located on the floors above, and the four busy professionals upstairs need their beauty sleep! Beau works in hospitals, Rhys works in change and strategy, Laura is doing a PhD, and Jeff works for Victoria Police. PARKING: there is lots of street parking around. Untimed and free on weekends, 1-2 hours 9am-9pm weekdays, or about $6-7/day around the corner. We have one visitor parking permit which we can sometimes loan guests for free parking 24/7... please enquire ahead of time and we'll try to make it available. Loud noise can travel between the floors, so we try to keep it down towards bedtime, and encourage guests to do the same. Beau (one of the residents) plays the saxophone and baritone horn, so you may occasionally hear some practicing during the day - he usually tries to sneak this when people aren't around. (Our neighbours and past guests have said it's nice to listen to though!) We have an EV charger for our EV. We may occasionally be able to provide this for guests to use - please get in touch to enquire. We pay to have household carbon emissions offset through GreenFleet. We encourage guests to consider how they can make their travel as carbon neutral as possible. Our place is on the lands of the Wurundjeri people, near the meeting of the Birrarung and Maribyrnong Rivers, and the lands of the Bunurong people.
