Experience country living and unwind at this elegant Victorian cottage located on top of a hill, offering breathtaking 360 views of the stunning rolling countryside and the most amazing sunsets. Chill in the fantastic large conservatory, curl up in front of the wood burner, say hello to the cows, start a country walk from the door, or pop into the pub for drinks and dinner. The market town of Thame is 10 minutes drive, Oxford 35, and London Heathrow Airport 45 (40 minutes to London by train). The space Ashtree Cottages was originally built in the 1870s as a ‘workers cottage’. It has been completely modernised and extended. The back entrance leads you into the utility room and onto the kitchen, with access to the lounge, dining room, and conservatory. Scandi-style colour schemes and furnishings throughout the house creates a bright and calm feel. The large conservatory, in particular, is a fantastic space - it's light and airy and feels as if you're sitting in the middle of the garden. It’s the perfect place to chill and have dinner at the large, extendable table. The lounge offers a cosy feel - even more so when the wood burner is on. Curl up on the oversized corner sofa with a book or watch your favourite TV program. The kitchen is fully equipped allowing you to cook all meals at home if you wish (there is also a BBQ). There's a washing machine and dryer also at guests' disposal. Follow the staircase up to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The principal bedroom, with its high vaulted ceiling and ensuite bathroom, is a serene space where you can recharge your batteries by taking in the beautiful views and sunsets from the comfort of a super king-sized bed. The overhang, or mezzanine, is set up as an office space. The family bathroom, with a large bath and shower, services the other bedrooms. Both bedrooms on this floor have single beds and large desks. Take the second staircase to the top floor where you’ll find two more bedrooms. One has a super king bed and the other a single bed, with a spare mattress. This room also doubles as a playroom, with a second large-screen TV, Nintendo Wii and Xbox, and boxes with plenty of Lego. The conservatory opens onto the back garden, with fruit trees, flower beds, a dining terrace, an elevated separate decking area that gets sun all day, and jaw-dropping southwesterly and westerly views. Take it all in from the swing under the Ashtree. Children are welcome and the house is full of toys to share - both indoor and outdoor including, Lego, a large selection of Board Games and DVDs, Nintendo Wii and X-Box, a garden swing, a badminton set, & boules. Guest access The whole house is yours, but not the outbuilding and garage. Other things to note There are two cats to look after. They are outdoor cats so largely mind themselves, but they will need breakfast and dinner, a cuddle from time to time, and come inside for the night.
