Ger y Wysg Farmhouse is a large, impressive traditional building, situated on the owner's working farm in Talybont-on-Usk, in the heart of Brecon Beacons National Park. There's a comfortable and homely air about the farmhouse with the cosy wood burning stoves, a traditional Aga, flagstone floors, a huge pitch pine kitchen table and charming bedrooms. The space A perfect place for groups and extended families to holiday together, the pet-friendly farmhouse is spacious and surrounded by large lawned gardens and farmland beyond. The farm is a haven for wildlife and a variety of birds can be seen, particularly by Gilestone Pond, a tranquil spot close by. The local village, Talybont-on-Usk, has something for everyone - a canal, 2 rivers, a reservoir, hills, woods, waterfalls, wildlife, local arts and crafts, a village shop and wi-fi cafe, 3 pubs and a restaurant. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy an abundance of different routes, to suit all levels. Cantref Adventure Farm is a short drive away and where you will find riding stables, animal farm and Europe’s longest sledge ride. The Play Barn is located at Brynich, on the outskirts of Brecon and further afield is The Red Kite Feeding Centre, near to Trecastle, the Brecon Mountain Railway and the spectacular National Showcaves at Dan yr Ogof are about 30-40 minutes away. Size: sleeps 15 in 7 bedrooms. Beds: 2 king size, 4 double, 3 single. Rooms: Ground floor: sitting room, morning room, conservatory, kitchen, utility room, shower room.
